We visited Joe Allen on a Friday night in October 2017, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was simple comfort food we all know, without the pretence that often comes with theater district spots. We had burgers, and they were perfect. The staff were...More

Bless Joe Allen. Since 1965, this off-Times Square gem has been dishing up solid comfort food in a quiet, away-from-the-craziness oasis. I'm partial to the meatloaf and mashed potatoes but have enjoyed the burger as well. I've been known to eat dinner, go to a...More

We walked in without a reservation and they were able to seat us. Our server was very attentive even though we were dressed like tourists. Th space has a cozy feel with the three steps down from the street and the exposed brick inside. Definitely...More

I find it usually depends on the day of the week and the time you want to go . Pre and post theatre hours are the busiest for them and the most difficult to get reservations. A week out you should have no issues
