A must go to place for a great breakfast when in NYC. Yadia has helped us for the past couple of years, very friendly and helpful. Will be back in a year, for sure.

Restaurant in front can be busy, but the quieter and smaller bakery/eating area in back is nicer. Scones, muffins, cookies all well made and reasonably priced...good luck and enjoy

The place to go in New York for an American breakfast with a trendy spin. Great pancakes, omelettes, eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles. We loved the food so much we bought the recipe book, and were happy to see we were able to almost replicate...More

The rumors are true: this place has the best pancakes in the city but only if you are willing to give up a good chunk of your time waiting for them. I tried this place on a warm April Friday afternoon after reading all the...More

Terribly slow service, and food was only very OK. Lots of food for prices which weren't that low, and eggs were very greasy. Honestly, and this is probably the worst insult on the restaurant... but I felt that the Clinton St. Baking Company outlet in...More

Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving
immigrant past and its modern transformation into a
beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side
is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city.
The blocks of tenements that represented the promise
and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience
now command top dollar for new residents. Right next
to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment

Why don't they have a large sign at the entrance stating their "Cash Only" policy during the daytime hours? The type at the bottom of the menu can be easily missed, and the situation can tend to be an embarrassment to someone caught short on cash.

I totally agree and I got caught as well. Why do you have to pay cash in the day but can pay by cash or card at night? It makes no sense.
