My fondest Thanksgiving memory was taking my family to NYC and Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade .....But the greatest satisfaction came from an absolutely unbelievable and delicious turkey dinner with all the fixings we had at Carmines .....My family is no longer together now through death and divorce so I look back at that dinner as one of the happiest .....💜

This family style restaurant has been there in the busiest section of Time Square in an old Paramount Pictures building. Food was great. Wine was excellent. Desert was great. We enjoyed the evening.

Wow food like this is unbelievable the size of the portions is insane. The food is great and don't be fazed by the size. You can prebook or turn up and wait for a table but be warned it is a busy place and you will have to wait to be seated if you just turn up.

Food was outstanding. Always is. Family style. Very busy, loud setting! Waiter was terrible this time. Couldn't be bothered with good customer service!

Make a reservation and take the family (or any group) to dine on really good Italian food, served family style. We were able to walk in and get a seat at the bar, but don't count on that unless you're by yourself. And if you plan to eat there by yourself be prepared to take home LOTS of leftovers. It... More

If you have never visited Carmines and do not read the fine print you will be SHOCKED when the waiter arrives with your meal. Carmines is a "FAMILY STYLE" restaurant. Which means...you could feed your whole family of 4 plus a guest or two on one meal. The food is wonderful, we had the Lasagna and it was so delicious.... More

Carmine's definitely can seem a little like a tourist trap in the Times Sq/Theater area...but its not. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is bustling and family friendly. Don't let the prices scare you! Everything is family style, so one dish could easily feed 3-4 people! The food was delicious (I believe my husband said... More

Really good quality Italian food in giant amounts! So worth it!!! Just remember to make a reservation in advance, it can get really crowded, being so popular and located in the Theater District!

Me & my husband called in for lunch.. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs.. It was amazing! The portion was for 3-4 people and so reasonably priced for that - it was $55 ish for the Spag & meatballs, Diet Coke and 2 large beers. You also get complimentary water and a bread basket - the bread was tasty! There was... More

Description
Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
