This busy restaurant was absolutely brilliant. We sat at the bar for a short wait for a table. We had cocktails and the prices for these were quite expensive but it is in the middle of one of the greatest cities on earth! We got to a table and luckily ordered only one main which was a massive family sized... More

Bar tender made an awful espresso martini the literally threw it at my wife spilling it all over the bar??? I went for chocolate and cherry... More

Americanized Italian food, family style. Portions are huge and serve 4. My husband and I were unaware that there was no way to order smaller portions on our first visit. We packed up our left-overs and gave them to a homeless gentleman sitting near the restaurant. Portions are much more appropriate for a table of 4. We've visited twice (next... More

Meal's seem very pricey at first, but I would say that one plate would serve at east three people. Atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, and was very busy when i went. I would say that a reservation is definitely needed. Food tasted pretty good.

We had been recommended to eat here 4 years ago when we were in New York and didn't get time, so I booked a table before leaving the UK - you definitely need to book as it was heaving. The food is served 'family' style which basically means each dish would probably feed 3-4 people, when there are only 2... More

I go to Carmine's every time I am in NYC! The service is great, but this time we had the impression it was a little bit more expensive. Worth going anyway!!

The best Bolognase sauce in NYC. Fun lively atmosphere. They have service down. Only complaint is that they turn tables over fast, can't just sit and relax, they have things timed. Food consistently good

Always a hit with out of town visitors and after a busy morning and early afternoon, this was a great choice for lunch. Family style entrees and appetizers were great and the staff was accommodating and gave us the time to really enjoy the meal. Always recommended.

Description
Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
