I went there with a friend to have a lunch. The menu which we found outside says that lunch deal was 12.99 $ for two course menu while inside was 17.99 and 22.99 $ with wine. We did not want to make a big deal out of it. However, the food was not to what I normally have in a... More

We meet friends here for dinner. They go here quite often, but it was our first visit. After sharing the wonderful mixed appetizer with baba ganoush, hummus and other wonderful items, we moved on to entrees, kebabs, meatballs, lamb!!!!!!! The salads are wonderful and so fresh. We loved the mushroom onion side dish. Wonderful wine and spirits including various Rakis... More

I went there by myself for dinner Friday at around 7:00 p.m., having just left the hair salon up the street. They were moderately busy. I was seated right away, but could not get a waiter's attention. There were two elderly gentlemen at the table next to me. Waiters repeatedly went to their table with bread, water refills and asking... More

If you like the food from Turkey and live or visiting New York, this is a good restaurant to visit. The Turkey's kitchen is one of the best in the world. This restaurant served good Turkeys food and they also have some nice wine from their home country. Good service - good food, that is what you get.

The title says it. If you are into Mediterranean food, especially Turkish food, then you are at the right place. Not only the food is super tasty, but the service is equivalent to any Turkish restaurant in Anatolia. For those who don't know, the Turks lead the chart for best hotel and restaurant services in the world. This restaurant is... More

I chose Ali Baba for our first meal in NYC because my wife wanted Turkish food. I must admit that I am not an expert on Turkish food, although my wife lived in Turkey and we have eaten at a number of Turkish restaurants. We arrived in NYC on a Sunday afternoon. When we arrived at Ali Baba, I was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
