I was visiting NewYork as a tourist in mid Jan 2016 (same time when heavy snow storm took over entire region). While walking around WTC site, I found this restaurant on one of the back street. I love labense cuisine, and this restaurant which is...More

I work in the Financial District, and there is no shortage of good Middle-Eastern food. Alfanoose is among my favorites, but they have one big problem: they are painfully, excruciatingly slow, and on top of that have a tendency to mix up orders. I have...More

From out of town staying in Fulton neighborhood. Love middle eastern food and cheap eats. So thought I ordered a vegetarian combo for $12. Hubbie ordered similar. Food a 3 star only. But communication problems when ordering & greed get a 5 star. After getting...More

This is a simple and not big place in Manhattan but the food is so good and cheap. They do not serve alcohol. The staff was pleasant and explained the menu to us as we were not familiar with Lebanese food. We had lunch and...More

I have to admit that I'm a huge fan of Lebanese food. Ever since I went to Beirut for work, I've been hooked on that type of mediterranean kitchen. The visit to this restaurant was a dissapointment. Not the fact that this was a self-service,...More

3 in our group. Shish kabob sandwich, falafel sandwich, and lamb schwarma platter. About $40 with tip (please note this is not a full service eatery, but the receipt upon payment upfront still has a tip line item). We all agreed food was good, not...More

My dad and I went to Alfanoose as a way of introducing him to Lebanese food, which he had never eaten before. The interior of the building is similar to many Manhattan restaurants. We went around 6 pm, and the only customer was waiting on...More

Hands down, the best felafel sandwich in NY. The food covers all of the popular Lebanese and middle eastern favorites, with lamb & chicken kebobs and swarma alongside vegetarian favorites like babaganoush, hummus, foul, etc. I've been eating here for maybe 20 years, and hope...More

We were staying at a hotel in the South Street Seaport area and noticed Alfanoose while walking to the subway. Although it looked kind of empty, we decided to try it for dinner because I remembered seeing it recommended in a guidebook a couple of...More

Great little place; wonderful service, tasty food and good value for money. Just need to get advertising consistency on their business address! It is actually located at 64 Fulton Street not number 150 nor at 8 Maiden Lane.

Financial District
At the southernmost tip of Manhattan, the Financial
District is where New York City began as a center of
commerce. Today, the historic streets and beautiful
setting are complemented by museums, countless
skyscrapers, and the heart of the Financial District,
home to Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange.

Alfanoose was founded in 1999 by Mouhamad Shami in New York City's Financial District. Shami is a lover of authentic Middle Eastern cuisine and a purist at heart. Alfanoose came about, mainly because of his disappointment in finding true Syrian/Lebanese food in New York.
