What a pleasant surprise above the madness of Times Square. The food, setting and service were fantastic. The Bloodies were a bit spicy but we all need some spice in our lives. Both daytime bartenders on the 25th and 26th of March were superb. Kudos to this hotel. Also, thanks to the manager who recognized us from the previous day.... More

We chose the Blue Fin based on good reviews, a decent-looking menu, and the proximity to the theater we were going to later in the evening. We were quickly seated upon our arrival at our reservation time, and our server Emily was there fairly quickly. First on our dining agenda were mini-lobster and shrimp spring rolls. These are dinner rolls... More

A stylish restaurant in Times Square. A variety of menu choices - sushi, other seafood choices, a few meat and chicken options. Went with a group of 10 - good chance to explore the menu. 24 Oysters and other appetizers - decent portions, well prepared. On to main courses - one chicken, one steak, large sushi sampler platters for everyone... More

We came here at 6 pm before our Broadway show at 8 pm. It was more than enough time. In the heart of Times Square (the TKTS booth is directly in front of this place), Blue Fin is an upscale seafood place. They offer steaks as well, but we stuck with the fish and the like. Started with the seafood... More

The food is excellent, but the service can be excruciatingly slow when you are concerned about making it out to the theater on time. I think the problem on my recent visit was that three diners had sushi and seafood and the fourth had chicken, one of the only non-seafood items on the menu. Perhaps no one ever orders chicken!... Dear eljo2113, Thank you for complimenting the food, but please accept my apologies for the slow service. I would like to look into this for you, we are known for providing beautiful food and service, and getting people to their show on time, so hearing that the service was excruciatingly slow is disappointing. Please feel free to reach out to... More

Went here for dinner. Recommend you get a reservation if trying to eat before 7:30 because everyone is trying to eat before the Broadway shows. Atmosphere was pleasant, server was good. We ordered the lobster / shrimp rolls in brioche bread as an appetizer. They were delicious. I made the mistake of ordering steak at a seafood place. I order... More

I'd seriously give this place a wide berth. Food was extremely expensive- 75$ for breakfast for two. We were served half a cup of coffee which was also extortionately priced. A big thumbs down.

We visited early Wednesday evening prior to a show. It was the first question our waiter asked which was nice cause we knew he was aware we had to move along. We chose the Californication roll, a take on a California roll which was fresh and delicious also the shrimp dumplings which were very tasty with a slight amount of... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
