Not at the very top tier of New York diners, but delicious pastrami, great pickles, and not outrageous prices. Service was a little inconsistent, but overall, had a great meal.

We were looking for a deli somewhat close to Penn Station, and Yelp offered up this, so we walked there. It was around noon and we were seated immediately, and there was plenty of space and open tables...perhaps that alone is a bad sign in...More

Large Kosher deli in a great location between Times Square and Herald Square. Came in on a Saturday afternoon - seated immediately. The waiter was prompt to bring coleslaw and pickles to the table. The quick-pickled ones were amazing! We ordered a corned beef sandwich...More

After 21 years in NYC, I had never heard of -- let alone visited -- Ben's. My wife and I loved their pastrami sandwiches --- and the location, five minutes from Times Square, on 38th St, just W of 7th Avenue. Kosher pastrami of great...More

This is such good food! We had the chopped liver which was divine as an appetizer for 4. I had the deli double half corned beef and half pastrami on rye. The pastrami was the best I ever had. Someone else had barley mushroom soup...More

This place has a good vibe and is huge. You feel as though you have stepped back in time. Slaw and pickles on the table. The food is good but didn’t realize kosher means no cheese. Service was excellent and quick. Easy locations near Times...More

We have been here so many times. We just love the place. During our recent long weekend in NYC for our 30th Anniversary, we went here twice. The food is just amazing here. The matzo ball soup is excellent... almost as good as my own....More

On a bus trip. There were two buses. I know it would difficult to feed that many people. All of us were served open-face sandwiches on one slice of rye bread. The pastrami might have been good served as a sandwich--two slides of bread. No...More

Description
To some, delicatessen is something you put between two slices of bread. To me, it's a calling. I am committed to preserving the traditional cuisine of my Eastern European heritage, amidst all that's required to operate a modern restaurant. This is our pledge, from the Ben's family to you: Fresh food, freshly prepared and courteously served in a clean, well-maintained restaurant faithfully observing the Kosher dietary laws. I urge you to bring anything less to my personal attention by calling 1-888-344-BENS or filling out my "Ask Ronnie" form and submitting it with your questions or comments. Your complete satisfaction is our goal. Any concerns will receive my prompt attention. - Ronnie Dragoon - Owner.
