I was dying for corn beef and cabbage but I didn't want to find a place on the Green Drinking day. I found Molly's sawdust floor bar/restaurant and made a reservation for the day after. It was jammed but they honored are reservation and we had a difficult time with the menu. We wanted it all. As I will note... More

Im sad to report that the Mollys of yesterday is gone. Once a great pint and famous burger in a quiet spot has been invaded by yuppies. Wildly overcrowded, I asked if I could eat at the bar and the bartender told me yes but Id have to stand. OK, I'm good with most things---but lets think his out a... More

Walked in off the street looking for a good drink. Great drinks. Great calamari. A very no-nonsense kind of place for a good drink and some good food. Small with very attentive staff.

Met a friend here for something to eat on his recommendation. Really nice place. We got a table and ordered drinks. When our friend arrived I went to the bar to order another drink for our table. The barmaid looked a little bit put out by the fact that I had come to her and not the waitress. When the... More

We wanted to get to know this place because of the tradition of Ireland and its food houses in NY It really is a traditional pub, in the purest Irish style Good beer and food according to the Irish people I ate the classic shepherds pie, which was rich and very filling Very friendly atmosphere, correct service and excellent beer... Awesome joint. Loved how authentic the pub was. Sawdust on the ground to sop up spills. Burger was really good - a little messy but totally worth it. Onion rings were great too. My wife got the corned beef and it was amazing. Huge portions. Some of the smoothest poured Guinness I've ever had! Definitely recommend and will return when... More

I love this bar! Always friendly, never so noisy that you can't hear yourself think, and a reasonably varied menu to bring you back on a regular basis. If you like a drop of the Irish, this venue is for you.

This place was a treat to discover. Quiet gramercy gem, looks like a pub in Ireland or rural england. The floor has woodchips on the ground, and the walls are filled with vintage photos- pretty cool. Can't speak for the food, but had a lovely glass of wine and friends enjoyed the beers on tap. Great winter spot.

I live in the neighborhood and love having this place nearby. Great for nightcap or place to rendezvous for the evening. Sawdust on the floor, dark wood, dimly lit, fireplace/wood burning stove, all around great cozy vibe especially in the wintertime. Makes you feel like you've gone back in time to old New York. Bartenders and servers can be gruff... More

We found Molly's Pub online and ate there on a weekend trip to NYC. It is so like the pubs in Ireland, cozy, authentic, with sawdust on the floor. The food was great--Shepard's pie, lamb stew, great beer and great service. Highly recommend!
