This is definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to! The food was very delicious and authentic, the atmosphere - great! The restaurant has a modern design with dimmed light which created a cosy feeling. We throughly enjoyed the services - the staff was very helpful and attentive. We highly recommend EN Japanese Brasserie

Every time I visit New York I make sure to visit EN. The food is delicious (especially the pork belly) and the service is smooth. I'd advise you to make a reservation before going as this is a popular restaurant.

My spouse and I enjoyed lunch at EN Japanese Brasserie on a Sunday afternoon in late September 2016. EN is open daily for lunch/brunch and dinner daily. You can make a reservation by telephone or by using the online Open Table reservation system. EN is owned by a Japanese restaurant group that operates several sister restaurants in Japan, but this... Went on a celebration meal and it was so worth it. The service is great - they do the classic Japanese restaurant greeting when you come in which is fun. The cocktails were amazing then ordering off the a la carte and the specials was a good mix. Sure it's pretty expensive but its good for a celebration. They know... More

Second visit to EN. What a disappointment !!! I had such a great experience the first time ... this time, no more originality , meal cold , probably straight out from the fridge , the place was so cold and staff does not care all their clients are wearing their jackets ! Wondering if the place have been under a... More

EN is probably the most impressive decor I've seen for a restaurant. It's beautiful, enticing and setting all that is required for a great ambience. We had two of the three set menus so that we can taste a large variety. It turned to be a mistake. It was way too much. Many of the dishes were interesting, not necessarily... More

Took some friends out this week to this beautiful restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the rhythm of how the dishes were presented smooth and delightful! And the different flights of sake are worth trying. Will be coming back soon.

as somebody who is in the top one percent of reviewers in New York, Om Trip advisor I can honestly say this is by far the worst meal I have had in New York. I seldom write negative reviews, I would rather not write at all. I found the restaurant void of atmosphere and the food absolutely tasteless. the salmon... More

I have been coming to this place for a long time and happy to say the food and service has been consistent all the time. You can book this place for large groups and you can have a quite dinner with friends as well. You can customize your dinner order in advance or go A la-carte. I will defiantly recommend... More

Great Japanese! It is a Japanese canteen, so there is sushi as well as noodles and other great options. We had amazing tofu and uni. The fried chicken was not bad. The starter plates were delicious as well.

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
