This is an old fashioned, soda fountain and luncheonette that opened in 1925 and today is well past its prime. It has not been renovated since 1947 – that says it all. We found the place over-priced, in need of good cleaning, with average food....More

We ate here this afternoon, the pancakes are fantastic well recommended. The burgers also were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is really nice and chilled with staff which are really friendly.

My sister and I were in the mood for milk shakes. Search milkshakes NYC and many of the pictures will be of shakes ladened with outrageous toppings. That wasn't what we were after. We wanted milkshake in its purest form and this place does not...More

Advertised as the oldest luncheonette in New York City. Fairly easy to find on the Upper East Side near 83rd Street and Lexington Avenue. When you enter there is a long counter and then some individual booths for larger groups. Plus, some tables for two....More

My wife and I had lunch here on Thanksgiving weekend. It is really small and care-worn but charming and full of character. I don't understand the posts that mention small portions. I had the "Lexington Special" which was an enormous triple-decker sandwich. Service was very...More
