My husband and I had a wonderful lunch here on a Saturday, November 12. Wow. We were so impressed with the service and the food. It was very crowded and we didn't have a reservation. We waited at the bar and enjoyed ourselves. The manager was simply delightful and secured a fab table for us near the ice rink. It... More

We were booked in for Thanksgiving dinner at the Rock Center Cafe and first impressions were not great as we had to wait 25 minutes to be seated even though we had reservations. We did get a table by the window and had a great view of the ice skating rink. Our waiter was good, but some of the other... More

The Rock Center Café is a jewel in the middle of the action. It is a great place (at holiday time) to see the Rockefeller Tree and skating rink. The restaurant can be accessed via an elevator on street level. The doors open right in front of the restaurant. Because of the holidays it was crowded but the staff was... More

Visited New York for my birthday. Had a cheeky little cocktail whilst sitting watching people enjoying their skating. Black Russian was delicious mmmmmm. Cant comment on the food but it certainly looked scrumptious :-) :-)

The food is very good...we enjoyed a $50 per person 3 course prepfix dinner. The location...watch the skaters, gaze at the famous tree...is iconic. This is more than a meal, it's an experience and one that is not-to-be missed.

Great food, great atmosphere of people ice skating. Had to wait awhile because we didn't have reservations, but it was so worth it. I had one of the best steaks I have ever eaten.. will return.

My wife and I came here for dinner on a Sunday night. Many of the eateries in the area were closed, so we decided to eat here. We were given a table at a window looking out to the ice rink, which was great. The food was good. It was a little expensive, but considering the restaurant's position, that it... More

We chose this place because we wanted to watch the skaters at the Rockefeller center and hoped to skate after dinner. The staff was fairly attentive and friendly but the bread was awful! How could that be so hard to get right??? We had just flown in for the weekend and were quite hungry....had salmon, pasta and burgers....all average. BUT,... More

I have never been compelled to write a review until now. We chose this restaurant based on reviews and location. Our rolls were cold...like from the fridge. The pasta was stuck together and tasteless. The salad was a mix and a mess. The fries are way better at a fast-food chain. Our wait staff was slow, lifeless and could care... More

We stopped in for a late lunch after visiting the Top of the Rock. We each had a glass of wine and a burger. Burgers were juicy, fries were crispy and service was efficient. Pricey and noisy, but the view of the ice skaters and tree is what you're paying for in a lively, popular place during the holiday season.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
