This was my fifth visit, and every one just keeps getting better. The food is amazing. Their margarita meatball pizza is delicious and their fried raviolis are even better. Their sauce isn't too thick, just right. Great prices on drinks, too!

First night in New York, wandering around Little Italy and were tempted in here by the bloke 'on the door' - initially we carried on to look at some others first (and their TA reviews) but came back here. Food and service both good and reasonably priced (especially compared to some others in locality). Starter to share, two pizzas with... More

Thought we would try out little Italy. Great food here. we had calamari, she had fish and I had the steak. all excellent. We had a bottle of wine. only downside was cost, like the rest of new York it is expensive, but did not deter from experience. would I go back - yes, but with bigger wallet. $45 for... More

Our second restaurant in Little Italy. Just across the street from where we had our first supper the night before. Very plain interior but the price is half compared to our first place ( Caffe Napoli ). I had the raviloi which consisted of 5 ravioli stuffed lightly with lobster in white sauce. Excellent. My wife had the small pizza... More

This has good Italian food and is right in the middle of Little Italy. The service is just ok and even a little slow but overall good!

The food is good, taste good and the portions are enough. The restaurant is clean. The furnitures are a bit old, most of the chairs are broken so be careful when you sit down or when you move your self. The staff is not that friendly and helpful but overall was a good experience till the check. Prices are fine... More

Wandered down Mulberry on a Tuesday night and fell into this place. Had the chicken parm with a side of spaghetti, and it was plentiful, tasty, with very good service and seemed like a good value. Would certainly go again.

We shared the 16' 'doc' pizza Margherita and had one half dressed up like a pizza Napolitana (anchovies and olives). Great! Nice glass of Montepulciano red, super weather..

The bruscetta was really good and the veal parmigiana was also very good. They did not serve bread with dinner which I thought was very strange. My wife ordered a side of meatballs and it came with bread but we had to ask and they did not serve olive oil with it. The bread was very good once we received... More

Il Piccolo Bufalo is a Trattoria with a modern spacious exposed-brick walled indoor dining room and inviting outdoor cafe with a comfortable relaxed atmosphere.
It features a diverse menu of traditional neapolitan cuisine and pizzas prepared in an open brick oven. The dishes are both modern and authentic, featuring most of the delectable favorites such as stuffed artichoke, spaghetti & meatballs, sunday gravy...... and other recipes the grandparents of the owner brought with them from Naples when they settled on Mulberry Street after emigrating from Naples in the early 20th century.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
