I had a wonderful dinner with a friend recently. The service was relaxed because we said we weren't in a hurry. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. Also tasted delicious. We both ordered one of the specials and it was like eating in Italy. You don't even need a menu because the specials all sounded so amazing. Very charming... More

We walked past this restaurant looking for Italian and walked in due to the charm and ambiance. We sat on the sidewalk on s beautiful evening. Great menu choice. My husband and I loved our pasta.

I got a last minute reservation here before a ballet, and it was fine. An expansive menu, good service. It wasn't the best, but it certainly was good, serviceable Italian food. We enjoyed it. I had the Sangria (not Italian, I know!) and it was very good.

Expansiveness of menu is what drove me to this small restaurant. Place, in the middle of week, was fairly busy, staff friendly, so we gave it try. But disappointed in the tastes of every one of the dishes we ordered. Perhaps, it's our tastes, but, food was much too salty (a sign of overcompensation of the recipe), and frankly was... More

We had buffalo mozzarella with roasted peppers and mozzarella carrozza with fried zucchini strips for antipasto. Very generous appetizers. My husband had papandella with bolognese...excellent. I had crab ravioli in a pink sauce with asparagus. Tasty, but not very much filling in the ravioli. Cappuccino lovely. Service was excellent.

Another Chelsea favorite because of high energy, friendly staff and attentive service, and good Italian food. As others note, the regular menu is a bit pricey; but you can usually find sometime more reasonable on the daily specials. Definitely a gathering place for the Chelsea crowd.

My husband and I wanted to do something different today because it is Valentines Day. Walking down 8th Ave., we passed Intermezzo, read the menu and decided to try it. They were serving lunch for $9.95. The place was empty when we walked in, probably because it was still early. It was lovely inside. The atmosphere was bright and airy... More

Well, we went to NYC on a couples weekend and wanted to try a different but nice restaurant. We found Intermezzo on Travel Zoo and decided to try it! The exterior belies the cozy and clean interior. It is a small but cozy interior with a 10 seat bar. We were immediately seated and greeted a short time later by... More

This is a solid, neighborhood Italian restaurant with a decent menu albeit the prices are a bit high for the 'hood. You can usually get a Groupon coupon for Intermezzo and its sister restaurant, Maria Pia (in the theater district).

We were looking for a place for dinner near our hotel and came upon this restaurant. We had a very nice dinner. We ordered the seafood pasta special and were very pleased with the dinner. Great local restaurant if you are in the Chelsea area of New York.
