Just wonderful food and wine and great atmosphere. Had walked by this restaurant several times and so glad to have fined here. The lobster bisque was excellent and steak and side dishes were top rate.

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 November 2016 via mobile

This is by far my favorite steakhouse, let alone my favorite in NYC. I try to come here whenever I am in town. It has a great atmosphere, wonderful staff and amazing food. I typically get the ribeye and it is juicy and delectable. My wife had the filet and it was very good as well. Highly recommended!! More

The dry aged ribeye looked great, but was disappointing: on the tough side and not very tasty. The IPA beer was excellent, service ok.

Can not complain about the food steak was great, asparagus, spinach, key lime pie are all recommended. What was not great was reservations for 7:30 not seated until 8 pm and then it took forever to get orders taken for a party of 4. I saw managers doing nothing while others were overwhelmed - not impressed with lack of pitching... More

The atmosphere of this place reminds me of a very traditional classic steakhouse. At 25 percent visibility, everyone seems to be engaged in their own little dining experience. I had the sirloin medium rare. The meat is juicy and lacked seasoning. They have their own home made steak sauce which made all the difference. Caesar salad lacked anchovies. Extensive wine... More

The steaks here are amazing. So far the best I've had in my two trips to Manhattan. The restaurant is very cozy and somewhat dark. Great place for a semi-romantic dinner. I say "semi" because the tables are fairly close together (like many Manhattan restaurants) so it's not all that private.

Benjamin Steakhouse is a very good high-end american style steakhouse. The steaks and sides were good and the service was professional and courteous. Personally, I find the place to be too dark and while I understand they are trying to maintain the "historic" ambiance, I honestly think they should refresh the complete interior design. In short, a very good but... More

Went to this restaurant on a recommendation by the hotel we were staying at. Excellent service and nice atmosphere. The food was good but I was disappointed that everything was a la carte. We were celebrating a milestone birthday and the dessert was not on the house which is odd. Compared to The Keg that we frequent in our country,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
