After researching,we found the place for best cheese cakes. The cakes were so fresh and yummy. Don't miss the strawberry cake. The shop was best in the town. Though the place is very small and congested, and crowded at sometimes, the wait is worth.

Not a really classic cheesecake, but very good one. I think it worth to have a visit and try some of these cakes. We tried the salted caramel and the cream&cake types and liked them much! It is quite small place and crowded, hard to...More

I've been to New York a few times and everytime, I have to stop by Eileen's. Those cheesecakes are simply the best. They're not too sweet and the size is just what it should be. Try the rocky road or the velvet red, they are...More

Saw this place on a buzzfeed "worth it" episode and decided to check it out. DELICIOUS! It's a small place primarily meant for takeout but it did have some seating. The cheesecakes are delicious! Small, light and fresh

Sorry but I disagree with most of people here. The cheesecakes are good but, for me, not so good as people say. The place is really small.. it's better to take away the cakes

Yes! The strawberry shortcake!! It's not a cheesecake! We went for the cheesecake, unaware that they had shortcake. We got a pumpkin cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake and strawberry shortcake. The cheesecakes were fine, we didn't feel like they were anything to write home about. BUT the...More

The cheesecake is simply out of this world! The hardest part is deciding which type to buy! There are so many different flavors to pick from. Don't worry though I don't believe you can go wrong with any of the choices they offer. We can't...More

Funny how the Q&A invite-to-answer system works. I got the sugar free one but not this. The answer here is much simpler: Yes. But melumar already told you that. ;)

I stand to be corrected but I don't think they do on their regular menu. I have very little doubt they'd make you one, though, as a special order. Either way, if you don't get a clear answer here (and even if you do), I'd... More

Eileen's Special Cheesecake opened for business in December, 1975, and arrived in lower Manhattan on December 4, 1976. It was a "ghost town" when I first arrived, but that didn't bother me because the rent was low and I desperately needed a place to bake for my growing wholesale business. I hadn't considered the retail aspects of the business until people started knocking on the door of the bakery wanting to buy cheesecake. With that encouragement, I purchased a bakery case and began to conduct retail business. Soon after our cheesecake attracted the press and we were listed in "Best Bites" in New York Magazine. Radio station WOR rated us "Number One Cheesecake" and we appeared on television quite often whipping up batters of cheesecake. Time passed, and now Cleveland Place is in a popular area where the mix of people and restaurants and shops are so unique. Downtown is becoming the "place to be", and we are actually on most maps now. We survived difficult times, and now "let the good times roll"!
