Pasta dishes were fabulous! Took two very hungry 13 year old girls and they cleaned their plates! Loved it!

We enjoyed a lunch here recently - I liked this place quite a lot. It is located in a bustling shopping neighborhood on the Upper East side. We both ordered the prix-fixe lunch, which is a good value. Food was very good. Atmosphere is nice: stylish but relaxed. Service was adequate, but a bit stiff. Could be much more welcoming.... More

Friends from out of town with whom we had Sunday brunch agreed that this was a fine choice. The noise level was moderate so we could talk comfortably. The tables are not widely spaced but our neighbors and we could keep our own conversations private. The restaurant is attractive in appearance---wood-topped tables, lots of white and wood. The servers were... More

Not a large menu for meals but honestly, the crostinis and a salad are enough. Lovely atmosphere and would definitely go back.

Fig & Olive Uptown is a lovely cozy Mediterranean restaurant located at Lexington Ave. Although the atmosphere is great (as well as the service, very friendly), the food is not impressive. The crudos are good, but the risottos and pastas were bland. The desserts were correct, but not great. The ratio cost-benefit is OK.

We had been to this restaurant several years ago and decided to return. We began with the cheeseboard and follow with the Fig and Olive Salad with chicken. Both were tasty and nicely prepared. We finished with a baked apple pastry an vanilla ice cream. This was a fitting ending to a good meal. We'll return in the future.

We tried the spring menu here this year. And it was brilliant! The menu was very creative, the service great and overall a great experience.

The food was nice but not similar to 5th avenue branch, the entrance very disappointing and beverage selection much lower than the others branch so what u can drink in 5th avenue such the refreshing lemon with mint is not available, also the ambience is pretty poor.

Thank Jamal T

At FIG & OLIVE, we want to highlight our menu’s core ingredient of olive oil, which we use in place of butter in our dishes. From a sweet and delicate olive oil from the French Riviera that pairs well with a Steamed Lemon Sole Papillote to an assertive Spanish Picual or a Tuscan olive oil that holds its own with Seared Salmon with Fennel and Green Olives, and a green-fruit Provence olive oil that we serve with a Green Apple Sorbet. Our cuisine along with an elegant white, green and terra-cotta décor immerse our guests into the essence of the Mediterranean region.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
