Excellent gluten free desserts! Finally a bakery that produces gluten free desserts that are just as good if not even better than gluten containing treats. This will be a regular stop for me when I am in the city!

There is a vast choice of vegan desserts for all tastes. The mint cookie and lemon loaf were delicious! You wouldnt know it was vegan!

As someone who is gluten intolerant and has not consumed a donut in 6 years, I was incredibly excited to try donuts from Erin McKenna's bakery. The donuts certainly did not disappoint! We had a cinnamon sugar donut and a cookies and cream donut, and also sampled some scone (which was also fantastic). I visited with someone who can eat... More

We haven't been here in a couple of years so I was excited to make it back here on this trip. It is a bit of a hike from Columbus Square where my hotel is located but it is worth it. We ate chocolate crumb cake there which was very good. The pieces were large and not very sweet. We... More

Erin McKenna's Bakery is literally the best bakery on the planet. My fiancé and I are both Vegan and Gluten Free and we used to live in Orlando near another Erin McKenna's location. Both of us frequently visited Erin McKenna's bakery because we love what this company does and their baked goods are so freaking good. I travel a lot... More

This was our second time visiting this bakery, from out-of-state. Again, we were absolutely delighted with the wide variety of fresh-baked goodies to choose from. With gluten and dairy allergies in our family, it's a pleasure to allow our children to choose WHATEVER treat they would like! Even those in our group without allergies enjoyed the goodies here. The cookies... More

From the outside this place doesn't look like much, but it's a charming relaxed place with plenty of fun pastry options. There aren't many seats, but works well for a coffee break. Or if you just wanna pick something up. We went there because we heard it was vegan, and we had some cupcakes and donuts that were good but... More

We 'fell upon' this bakery on our way to the Tenement Museum and were so happy that we did. My friend had a piece of banana chip loaf and I had their mocha crunch donut - YUM on both accounts! The bakery is small, so it's not a comfortable place to sit for a long time, but it is definitely... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
