Excellent Thai food. Excellent drinks. Fast service. Large portions. Nice decor. Nice chatty (but not obnoxiously loud) place to go with friends. Nice location too. I always always have lunch here when I visit NY.

This place has a funky bar scene... good cocktails, delicious and inexpensive food. The place is noisy and the decor is odd at best..but the food was really good! We ordered appetizers and entrees and they served some of the entrees before the appetizers and then the balance of the entrees.. So the service and or the kitchen was scattered.

Myself and my boyfriend visited Klong a number of times during our trip to NYC. We were first enticed by the $3 Mojitos however the food was AMAZING and the atmosphere made it all the more fun!! 100% recommend for a night out.

I visited Klong in East Village on a Friday night without a reservation. For 2 people you can get in quite quickly but be prepared to sit right next to kitchen. It wasn't too bad and didn't spoil the evening but not ideal. The menu selection is excellent with lots of great variety and sides. The food itself was delicious.... More

I have lived in Thailand for 7 years and absolutely love authentic Thai food which I have found in a rare find in the USA. Thai food in the USA is most often an Americanized version with the subtleties that personify authentic Thai food missing. Authentic Thai food is what Klong serves. The excellent food is matched by friendly, efficient... More

After viewing the Halloween Pet Parade in Tompkins Square park, I and my daughters ducked in here for the Lunch Special and we were happy with the results. For 8.95 you get a lot of food. I had a delicious spicy tofu noodle dish ( Kao Mee?) , crab Rangoon and salad with peanut dressing. All four of us enjoyed... More

Ordered a few things for delivery. The coconut calamari was a little strange but not bad. The shrimp was excellent. I just wish they had sent plastic knifes for the pork chops

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
