I'm usually not fond with Italian cuisine, but this restaurant is truly a mind changer. Amazing restaurant, amazing service, and amazing food. I would go back to try other dishes.

This restaurant has great Italian food and a cosy but buzzing environment, is a great place to catch up with friends or head to for a special occassion. The pastas were all delicious but the two starters we ordered - calamari and fried artichokes were particularly amazing. The staff were really friendly, however seemed a bit flustered, I needed to... Seating is a bit tight, perhaps a tad loud but otherwise exceptional. The salads were great including kale. The main courses of braised Short Ribs which tender and moist, Duck Breast off the bone was decadent and flavorful (generous portion), pasta was good as well. Nice wine list with attentive service.

Had a great brunch here with family. Although the place does not seem to be set up for families, they were very accommodating with our 3 year old granddaughter. We dined in the very cozy enclosed patio area which was lovely. The menu was somewhat limited, but everyone found something they liked. The frittatas were tasty and the pancakes some... More

I really loved this place. My only regret is that we were not able to spend enough time here to really enjoy the meal slowly because we were rushing for a social event. The food was absolutely outstanding - I highly recommend the gnocchi dish! The setting was gorgeous too - we ate in a cute little indoor/outdoor patio area!... More

Dined here with a friend for lunch last Saturday and we sat at the bar. I had been in previously just for drinks late one night and remembered it was very cozy. Uva has a very welcoming ambiance - wood floors, tables, low-light sconces on the wall. I think it's such a great place to duck into off the street... More

It is a small space and very busy, but the girl at the front door was awesome. Waitress could have been a bit friendlier. Drinks were reasonably priced. We ordered a cheese platter, cheese portions were great but could have come with more side items.

They do not take reservations for two so we got there early. Before 7pm they do wine flights which was good. The appetizers were good. The beet gnocchi my favorite! The tiramusi delicious.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
