we stopped in for a red beer before going to a drag show brunch. Great place. Paddy the bartender was so friendly and informative. He was from Dublin and it was interesting talking with him. We will be back next year.

Found this place and had a nice lunch. Great fish and chips...super crispy! And really fast service! We had our food in no time! The couple next to us had the Rueben and it looked tremendous! Must try!

Conveniently located to several theaters within a block. Server was friendly/attentive. We ordered two burgers and I really enjoyed the fries. Had plenty of time to enjoy the atmosphere and not be rushed to catch a show.

We had a lot of fun here. $1.00 oysters, and fish n chips. It was pretty busy, but we still got a table right away.

Might have caught them on an off day, but the beer, Goose Island was cloudy and tainted. The staff were ok and the Halloween decor was quite well done.

Just needed a break! Went in for drinks and a snack! The service was good, the drinks and nachos were great! It really felt like a neighborhood bar! We left, ate somewhere else but wished we had stayed for dinner. A very good vibe!

Late morning breakfast after a walk in Central Park. Good food, great service, reasonable prices in a good location. That's all one can ask for.

Specialties Sports Bar Live Music Brunch Irish Pub & Restaurant History Established in 1969. It all started back in 1969 at the opening of a restaurant and a bar called "Pig n Whistle" by John Mahon and Pete Mcgee. The original restaurant was located in the Old Townhouse of President Taft on West 48th street, in the heart of New York's Rockefeller Center, the friendly people and atmosphere quickly became the meeting place for New York's literary and banking elite. The new "Pig and Whistle" on West 46th Street, in the heart of the theatre district, has the look and the feel of the historic townhouse where it all began. From the red brick walls and paneling on back bar, upstairs bar that is available for private parties and balcony overlooking 46th street, "Pig and Whistle" continues to follow the same detail and style as that gracious home in Rockefeller Center. Meet the Business Owner John M. Business Owner John Mahon son of the original owner will take over the reins in the business. He has trained and worked at many other fantastic restaurants in midtown Manhattan such as Langan's, Blooms Tavern, Pig'n'Whistle on 2 nd Ave and Pig n Whistle 48 street. Helena White will also join John in the management side. Helena has been based in New York for many year where she has gained her experience in Langan's, Pig'n'Whistle 47 th street and more recently PJ Moran's John and Helena's experience coupled with their local knowledge will ensure your visit will be one you will truly remember.
