I had a solo dinner in the restaurant, so I sat on the bar for a Omakase menu. I wasn't prepared for the format, and I felt quite uneasy having it. The way it goes, is that every 5 minutes, the sushi chef comes to...More

The staff didn't offer welcome to us first when we enter and we had difficulty in getting waiters' attention. We went there for lunch and ordered Sashimi and Nigiri Omakase which was $60++/person. Food was good but those are all so tiny. I'd give 4...More

Cosy restaurant near Union Square perhaps best Sushi ever experienced. Prompt courteous service and excellent wine/Saki list made whole experience flow seamlessly. Especially memorable were flights of Uni, Tuna and Yellow Tail tasting. Matched perfectly with an unique Sancerre white wine picked out by sommelier....More

The welcome and service were very good. The fresh fish selections were good. That's the only positive at this restaurant. The portions are very small and very pricey. After spending $450 for 4 people with beer only and no dessert, we were still hungry.

We had dinner for three recently at 15 East. I'm still dreaming about that meal. The great Yasuda-san used to say that good nigiri is all about the rice. 15 East is just as devoted to getting the rice "right" as Yasuda-san was, in the...More

We went here to celebrate a friend's engagement and there are no words to describe how ridiculously good the food was. We didn't have a reservation but we were going on a weekday so figured it wouldn't be too bad. We sat down within a...More

A welcoming and warm environment for a snowy evening. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu items, so we were happy with their recommendations. We chose a variety of courses, each a perfect blend of flavors. The uni was magical. Even the...More
