I came here for dinner recently and it has to be one of the best meals that I have had in years! The food was just perfect and authentic... even better than many meals that I have had in France! Side note: I am very particular about French food and ratings (my mother is French, half my family lives in... More

A small, 3 room classic French bistro in the southern edge of Soho. You are not going for atmosphere but for excellent French bistro food served with style and intelligence You will be sitting at real tables with actual tablecloths and napkins. It is not a bar And although it is somewhat noisy it is not a real problem And... More

This lovely romantic French bistro in SoHo is tucked away among the townhouses in the calmer part of this neighborhood. The comfortable but quaint restaurant has seating in the front and in the back. Everything on the menu looked delicious but I settled for the braised rabbit and my friend got the fish. To start we did the watermelon feta... More

Restaurant Week visit for dinner ($42). Onion soup and roasted pear were excellent; soup had tons of burnt cheese. Rabbit was not in the usual mustard sauce, but more a marsala type sauce. Still very tasty. Hanger streak slightly tough at medium rare but great flavor, lots of garlic on top. Dessert tasting (filled pastry, sorbet and fruits) a wonderful... More

This place is definitely has a "hole in the wall" vibe but the service and food was absolutely amazing. The hostesses accommodated to our table changes and the server was nothing but pleasant. We ordered the French Onion Soup (literally the best I've ever had), foie gras (it tastes heavenly) and the creole style mussels (fresh and delicious) as starters.... More

We came here specifically because we understood the food was good and the corkage fee was $10/bottle with a 2 bottle per table limit. A pretty good deal for NYC. It was our wedding anniversary and we brought a very special old bottle with us all the way from Portland, Oregon. This restaurant is downtown near Canal St. and a... More

While wandering around looking for dinner we came across this restaurant. We were really surprised by every aspect of this humble classic French restaurant. While not I the best location in the area (there is backstory to that) the interior of the restaurant and the passion put into the dishes more than makes up for it.

La Sirene is a true gem among the French restaurants that can be frequented in NYC. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the atmosphere which was comfortable and cozy. The food was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Pork Tenderloin which just melts in your mouth. It is a dish that I would definitely order again at La Sirene. If you like... More

We went there for my girlfriend birthday and we had an overall very good experience! Started with the Goat cheese tartelette that was tasty and as a cheese fans we could not expect a better start. The complimetary bread was a great reminder of France. :) We both took the Tournedos rossini. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly for us (Asked... More

Excellent food in a nice, small, intimate setting. Our server was very goofy, but had to be taken with a grain of salt. Desert was phenomenal
