We started at a diner, but when they sat us and forgot about us, we made our way across and up the street to Amy's Bread. The gentleman behind the counter could not have offered better customer service. He smiled. He was genuinely friendly and interested in us. He went out of his way to help us find a place... More

Great local bakery where you can find the same delicious rolls and treats served in many fancy restaurants in the city. The muffins and scones we had were creative spins on the familiar. The almond milk latte the best I've ever had. Plus, they are some of the nicest people around. Worth standing in line for, but get there early... More

Ok place for a quick bite and coffee - good selection of pastries but I wasn't blown away - very pricey. Really good coffee and frappe though. Not awful, not great but defo not bad.....

I have a friend who lives in Hell's Kitchen - where decent restaurants/food shops are scarce. Because of that I have been going to Amy's for years. It's one of those places you go back to out of desperation and somehow hope that it will be better than last time. It never does but it never gets worse. Amy's is... More

The bakers really knows what they are doing--this bread is top-notch. We bought a loaf of green olive bread and devoured it all before we even left. The desserts are also excellent. They have a plate of samples, which is smart because it makes you want to eat a whole price. There is coffee and tea, and a snug set... More

Our group of 4 women on a girls trip had brunch (mid morning breakfast) here and it did not disappoint! I had quiche and coffee but we had a variety of items and they all tasted WONDERFUL, hot, quick and seating was available. We had never heard of Amy's but a local told us to go there- glad we did!

I have rarely spot Hot Cross Buns in the US - so was great to see them here - and lots of other goodies. Great little spot!

The place is small and cozy. If you want to have breakfast, this is a great place. I ate something with vegetables that was very good and spicy. The cappuccino was also nice. Worth a visit.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
