I must be doing or eating something wrong since i was not impressed with their burger. Numerous reviews saying, if in for a burger in NYC S&S is a place to visit. Well, to be honest is far away from that. Just another fast food place with average tasteless burger with completely senseless ingredients mixed together. Beer was worth mentioning

Amazing burgers here, succulent and excellent quality beef. Forget about the french fries and shakes and just get a burger! It's located in a nice park with a view of the famed flatiron building. Quick service too. I also believe that this was the first Shake Shack ever so it has some history attached!

I am NOT a fan of hamburgers, but there is something about these burgers that I love. Shake Shake is one of my "must stop" places while visiting NYC. There can be a long line but it is worth the wait!

This is the place yo eat your burger. In the middle of all the commerce theres this lovely park and then there is Shake shack. Love the burgers, the milkshakes and the surroundings. We never miss this when we are in NY.

I mean, look at that view! Which burger joint has a view like that?!The food is just as great, always visit when I'm in NYC.Love the crinkle fries and the root beer floats.I also had the hot chocolate, which on a cold January night(-8!)was just the ticket.

We've heard so much good about Shake Shack, and that is why we were so surprised to discover that the hamburgers were no much better than MacDonald's. The fries were soft. Burger King is far better.

Before visiting a shake shack I was a bit dubious as thought it may be on par with your usual high street burger places however I was wrong. The burgers here are succulent and juicy and the buns so soft. I am also not one to like much sauce on my burger however their shake shack sauce is to die... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighbourhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets- much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighbourhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being the home of a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
