Tried this place out based on all the Yelp reviews so I had the "Dennis". Chicken cutlet, pesto/balsamic, mozzarella, and prosciutto. I added roasted peppers. Chicken cutlets were super thin and crispy and all ingredients tasted very fresh. I waited on a pretty solid line and the line didn't stop even after I got my sandwich ( I went after... More

This place is super small but super worth it. The bread, cheese, and meats are all amazingly fresh and delicious! It is a little hard to order because it is made-to-order and not really listed anywhere. But highly highly highly recommend stopping here!

I love their bread! Their sandwiches are fantastic! It doesn't matter what sandwich you order. Just make sure you're hungry. How can anyone say otherwise!!!

Made our day when we found this place. The absolute hugest lunch rolls ever. We went simple - ham and cheese on a baguette. So big we shared one between two people. Took our rolls, after strolling through LES and Little Italy, to battery park where we ate our lunch while we admired Lady Liberty. Service excellent as well. Make... More

I ordered a tuna roll not sure what i would get and I could see the lovely lady spoon about 2 cups of a ready tuna mix. Then I was asked what else I want in it. All the sandwiches and rolls are made anyway you like. The meat and cheese type is only the basis and then all other... More

We wanted a traditional Italian deli/sandwich place and we got it. Can't say enough about the food and service. This is a very small place, about 20 x 20, with no seating. Line was about 10 people in front of us, but we got served within 10 minutes. Sandwiches were large and delicious.

This is one of those places you would never stop if you did not have any upfront information. We were told by a local that this was the best place to go for lunch. Walking over there from our Soho hotel we had to look twice if we were in the right place. We ordered two Dennis sandwiches as recommended... More

Great wines and even better food. What else do you want while eating out on the town? Loved everything from the decor, the people, and of course the food and drinks.

Staying in Nolita

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite being just off of busy Houston Street, Nolita maintains a low-key vibe that makes it a pleasant retreat in the heart of lower Manhattan. Short for “North of Little Italy,” Nolita was once considered to be part of Little Italy. Today, the neighbourhood is popular with young fashionistas popping in and out of the chic independent boutiques that line Mulberry, Mott and Elizabeth Streets. In addition to shopping, there are cozy restaurants and sidewalk cafes serving everything from new-school Italian food to the world-famous cronuts. While small in size (Nolita stretches just a few blocks in each direction), it’s a great neighbourhood to spend an afternoon people watching, window-shopping, and grabbing a bite to eat.
