This is one of my favorites in the city! If you like chocolate (at all)get the chocolate tarte! The linzer cookie is also very good and not overly sweet considering. The best deal though are the little Bouchons. They are inexpensive and sheer heaven when slightly warmed (after just 3-5 seconds in the microwave even, the center becomes molten warm... More

The pastries at Bouchon are excellent. The cheese danish is my favorite, with so much cheese you will never believe it! And, for a high-end bakery the prices aren't really any higher than any decent bakery in NYC. It's conveniently located in the Shops at Columbus Circle on the 3rd floor with tables that are rarely available during peak hours.

Both the food and the view are phenomenal. I recommend the salmon salad! My servers are always friendly and attentive. Typically, this is my escape during lunch time during a particularly stressful day.

The few times tried the pastry it tasted old. Service is brisk and I hear the tuna sandwich is good, though that is only a rumor

Wow, we know the reputation of Bouchon and had to see if it lives up. I can attest that the cheese danishes certainly do! Incredibly rich and filling, with a seriously flaky pastry crust. My son says the hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows is the best thing around!

In the Time-Warner Center the atmosphere is lacking, but it is more than made up for by the excellent service and even better food. Perhaps one of the best values for dinner in the city.

This is the most accessible and least expensive of four major restaurants in the Time Warner Center on Columbus Circle. It's on the third floor of the indoor shopping mall. The food is tasty and well served, but somewhat expensive compared to simpler alternatives in the area. However, the view through the glass wall looking over Columbus Circle, Central Park... More

Stopped for late breakfast before Lincoln Center. Very nicely done and presented eggs Benedict and quiche Lorraine. Excellent none rushed service.

We had foie gras for lunch and it was realy good. We had chardoney white wine, which costed $16, but was not as good. Total price for 2 was $93 + tips. The view over to Columbus Circle was exciting, with the buzzling traffic. Recommended

We decided to have brunch at the cafe in the mall at Columbus Circle on our last morning in NYC, but found that it doesn't open until 10:00 a.m. So we wandered around the nearly empty mall for a while. We were seated immediately at 10:00 and ordered Eggs Benedict, but the entree didn't arrive until 45 minutes later, and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
