Frequently go to dinner with friends. Salmon and bass always good. Service excellent. Highly recommend. Make reservations though.

We actually chose Thyme Matters after reading about it in the AAA Texas guidebook. It is quite far from the downtown area, but is located in a nice, strip mall. The restaurant environment was very comfortable and our meal was a nice respite from a hectic day. We shared a cup of very tasty, mild Poblano Soup and a well-stuffed... More

We were greeted by the hostess who opened the door for us. This was a nice touch. There were people dining at the bar as well as tables. A special birthday event was going on upstairs. I had a wedge salad which was quite large and extremely delicious. The lettuce was very fresh, had yellow, and orange grape tomatoes, bacon,... More

Heard about this restaurant from some friends. Had the calamari appetizer which was very tasty. She had the linguini with shrimp skewer which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and garden salad. The lettuce was not fresh. Pork chop and potatoes was tasty but average. Soda was flat. Staff was friendly but not very attentive.... More

Six of us for dinner and lotta catch up conversation and we were never pressured to leave. Their wide assortment of margarita's was enjoyed by all six of us. As for food, my fish tacos were lacking in a great flavor, but were okay. I think everyone else enjoyed their selection. I would try it again.

I have been visiting this establishment for the past 6 or 7 years. The food and service have been consistently great. Most recent visit was on 12/15/15 for dinner. All the staff from greeter to chef were attentive and very cordial. Several in our party asked for slight modifications to the dishes on the menu, our requests were handled with... More

Have had several good dinners here; pretty consistent food. Fish, steak, pasta and salad options, with other more-inventive southwestern style options. The stuffed pepper special was excellent. Service is mostly attentive. Good bar selection.

We dined here with friends on their way to San Diego, and chose it to show them something different in El Paso. We've dined here many times and generally had a very good experience. This was not quite up to that standard. The pasta and ragu sauce was just ok, as was my veal. They enjoyed their fish dishes. Housemade... More

We've been going to Thyme Matters for a few years almost every time that we visit El Paso, and it's been consistently good each time. The atmosphere is nice, the pricing is reasonable, and the food is quite good.

Thyme Matters emerged from a mixture of tradition and modernity in cuisine and the belief that El Pasoans are looking for – and deserve – more from a dining experience. What started as a catering business and a four table restaurant in 2004 is now a full service restaurant/bar that seats 140. Owner and Chef Alejandra Chávez alongside her husband and also proprietor Iván Torres envisioned a place where friends, families and business professionals could celebrate life’s victories, or just unwind at the end of a busy day. The international cuisine and polished casual environment at Thyme Matters offers the best ingredients, a passion for flavor, dependable service and attention to detail. A carefully selected wine menu and hand muddled cocktails complement a warm and inviting atmosphere. Located in El Paso’s West Side, Thyme Matters is the ideal setting for any occasion.Thyme Matters also has an outdoor patio with a spectacular view of the Franklin Mountains. In addition, we have a fully-equipped private media/dining room which is the perfect place to host a presentation or a private party.
