We went there on a Sunday afternoon in February, it was raining.... The owner's wife was talking to two young men, whom she invited in & out of the rain and left the door open. When my friend & I began to enter, we were told in a rude manner: "We're Closed. We don't open until 5:00" It was 4:... More

WOW_ who would think this great little local restaurant would be tucked right next door to the Movie Theatre- I must say I wrongly assumed everything next to the movie theater would be corporate, cold and packaged.. wrong! I ended up here by accident really- i was heading to Barrel 33 I think is the name and they were closed... More

Went to a movie in downtown Ventura and wanted to get some food after the show. This cute little Italian place is right next store, so we decided to try it out. The owners were in Italy, at their Bed and Breakfast but their daughter and son-in-law were running the place. Good pasta and salad. Staff was great -- friendly... More

We've been here twice in the last month or so. Loved it both times. Friendly staff; cozy atmosphere; we enjoy the care that the chef owner puts into each dish.

Amazing, awesome, sooooo good! Wouldn't have changed anything about our evening at Sicily by Gino where we celebrated my momma's 91st birthday! Stephen was awesome, food was out of this world amazing - absolutely everything we ate was soooo good! Highly recommend a stop here if you're near Ventura.

Outstanding food and great service. My wife and I just took a chance and stopped in for dinner. They apologized for "bring slammed" but seated us right away. The whole family was in on the job (or so it seemed) complete with new mother and baby tucked away in a stroller in the corner. I ordered the Gnocchi and my... More

We've been here several times and I am always ready to go back. The couple who owns this restaurant is always there and they are lovely people. It is a small cozy restaurant with a unique charm. I love their Lobster Ravioli and Tiramisu. They have a number of reasonably priced wines. You can't go wrong with a dinner here.

So, I'm reviewing this because I only go here when my husband REALLY want to eat here as I can't tolerate gluten and they don't have gluten-free pasta. So I always have soup and salad. I love the insalata di Bietole. That said, my husband loves the food! He will order the Ravioli or the Penne Isabella. It's a small... More

I have been here twice in the last couple of weeks and it was such a great experience. Gino and his wife are great and their stories are even better! And Gino's homemade limoncello is the best I have ever tasted.
