We were traveling home from a trip and stopped here for dinner. We had eaten here before and liked the restaurant. This time around the menu had changed and was limited on the type of foods we liked. The staff were friendly but the service slow. they were not that busy and from past experiences alot had changed. The onion... More

Ok so it;s not Paris, but it's kinda cool vibe reminds me of Paris, and the food is always very good. This place gets busy, but even if you wait a bit you wait in comfort and can look at all the French decor. The food arrives hot, plentiful and fast. The prices are reasonable, but not McD prices --... More

Understated but authentic French cuisine. Salmon on wilted spinach, the cream sauce is creme de la creme! Jambalaya reminded me of New Orleans. Family atmosphere. Fun. The mud pie is extravagant.

We were there on a Sunday morning at 9;00 a.m. They had just opened up and it was nice and quiet. I had the eggs benedict and my partner had the full breakfast with pancakes.

Where do I start? We asked what the specials were. The waitress pointed to a chalk board that was at the other end of the room. We told her we couldn't see that far so she reluctantly told us about the specials. The three of us were talking about getting a bottle of wine. The waitress said if we didn't... More

We decided to simplify the Thanksgiving meal for nine of us: in-town and out-of-town guests. Mimi's was a good choice with their fixed meal at $19/each; not overly pricey, thank you! We had a choice of soup/salad, dark/white meat and pumpkin or pecan pie. Atmosphere was good and service was attentive. There was plenty to eat and most of us... More

I have not eaten at a Mimis for a long time. And I have never eaten at this Mimis. Very inviting exterior with a little patio seating area right off the front door. Host was not at his station but after a small wait he showed up. John B was our server and he did a great job of checking... More

I am visiting Ventura, CA.for a couple of weeks. I used to live here, so I decided to go to Mimi's for lunch. I can not believe how high the prices have gotten. I order a turkey club and it was almost $10 and there was very little turkey on it. I had a my side a bowl of fruit... More

For the life of me, I have no idea how this place stays in business. The service is pretty bad but the food tastes like it was frozen, thawed, "cooked" and slapped on your plate.
