Totally worth a visit to enjoy a cuisine that is far too rare in this country. The mouth-watering delights emerging from chef Gaetano's kitchen makes one want to ask for more, more and more. Sicily's non-red-sauce dishes are prepared here with obvious love that it reminds one of home-cooked festive meals. Based on our experience we have high praise for... More

Best food in Bradenton. Located in The Village of the Arts which is a nice art community. Romantic dinning rooms with a large wine selection.

I really enjoyed my meal, we walked in for an early dinner, although I'd recommend a reservation. Had the Pate assortment which was very good. Wine selection is good and even though the menu is small it was well executed and there are solid choices.

We ate dinner last night at Ortygia the best restaurant in Bradenton!! I had the Timballo de Pene. It was amazing. Gaetano "Guy" the owner/chef is a fabulous cook. He is also a very talented harmonica player. I highly recommend Ortygia if your looking for a nice evening and a great meal!!

What a quaint locale. The restaurant is basically a converted cottage with tables set-up in various rooms in the house. We were a party of six and were shown into a back room which already had a party of six or more. We enjoyed the food and the service immensely...my wife and I both had the Farsumagru (slow cooked stuffed... More

Don't let the size of this place fool you! Its a little house located in an area of Bradenton that is being revitalized as a "Arts" neighborhood. We had a fabulous Sicilian dinner, great wine, wonderful service and a fun adventure. Not only does the chef create and prepare delicious food, he also plays the harmonica like a professional and... This was our 2nd visit. It could not get any better. The chef was very attentive. It is a small operation and very personal. The wine list is extensive. There is only one beer choice but my husband liked Peroni Beer. We had sword fish. There was sword fish pasta but the chef was very accommodating and gave me a... More

Owner and Chef Guytano creates masterpieces and frequently changes the menu to keep it interesting and wanting more! The live music draws him out of the kitchen and has him joining the band. This quaint but popular spot with the locals should be on your list when your within 25 miles of Bradenton.
