We were looking forward to chilling out in the Badwater Saloon after a long drive from Yosemite. I anticipated the place having a lively atmosphere but it was very quiet and the staff were not very welcoming. The boys wanted to play darts but they...More

In the middle of nowhere ... here you will find a delicious burger and fries. All perfectly done to perfection. A miracle in a National Park! And this is coming from 2 food snobs!

Probably the worst service I have experienced all vacation. 40 minute wait for a salad, which at $17 was a complete rip off. Drink refills never came, long waits, and a forgetful waitress who told us she was overworked. They had four servers for 10...More

We stopped here for lunch on our travels and had an excellent lunch! I had a lovely prickly pear salad. The food was fresh and the service even better. The 4 of us who dined there were equally impressed. Not overpriced either, which has been...More

After the heat of Death Valley, it was great to take refuge in the coolness of the Badwater Saloon and to enjoy some much needed and thirst quenching beers. The barman Steve was incredibly helpful with advice to two "brits" who were not sure which...More

After a hot day sightseeing - we had temps of 113 degrees - there's nothing better than an ice cold beer and pub food. The food was very good, as was the service.

This place is good and the prices are decent. The service here was probably the best in the park overall. It has a nice selection of drinks and beer and food. Overall a good choice.

I paid $15 for a good size burger with fries. Both were the bomb and worth the price. My husband had the cheese fries which were loaded with many toppings and it was also worth the price which was about $8. This food hit the...More

To be fair there are only two bars in Death Valley, this one and the one at Furnace Creek (30 miles away). The drinks were fine but priced like an upscale hotel, bring a bottle and have drinks on your porch.

We stayed at the lodge...and this was one of 2 places to eat. It was good...but the only choice and we were hungry.

Not certain, but I highly doubt it given how concessions are usually handled in national parks.

If you mean a family owned and operated,,95% sure no. I think it is owed by that concessionaire that is allowed to run Stovepipe Wells,,maybe Xanterra?
