LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this place! The feel is like a 1920's speakeasy and if you go on Friday nights, they have live music. I was never a fan of the 20's type music, but it was really enjoyable. The food was fabulous and I would definitely recommend this place and go there again. The food is a bit pricey, but I purchased... More

This is our second time here and the food has been excellent. We had the homemade pickles, Caesar salad, small plate of mussels, mushroom paperdell. Everyone enjoyed their food. For dessert I had liquid dessert called the fire Marshall, my husband had the chocolate torte. Both were delicious but the marshall was very strong which the server did inform me... More

I purchased a Groupon for this restaurant. It was different and a neat place to visit once but I wouldn't go back. The meals are very much overpriced and unbeknownst to us, we were charged a cover charge for the "meh" jazz band that was playing while we were eating. I was very surprised to see the charge when we... More

Sincerely, I do not gain any enjoyment from disparaging a merchant, I do not want to jeopardize anyone's livelihood. Most times I don't review when its negative. ... This is an exception. My wife, myself and another couple went to dinner here on Saturday 11 February. They are very overpriced. ... To be clear, I do not mind paying whatever... More

Have been to this restaurant numerous times. Aside from the unique atmosphere which is always a winner, the cocktails are superb, our meal was delicious and well prepared and service was top notch. My wife has celiac and while there is no special menu, there were numerous dishes on the menu that were gluten free and the server was attentive... More

We walked down narrow steps into the 1920's. We were told our wait would be 30 minutes to sit at the bar, we sat in 10 minutes. While we waited, we were given menus that were actually hard covered books. Their menu prices for the apps and drinks were reasonable. The items were a little too different for me, one... More

Don't let the location scare you....imagine going back in time to the 1920's. This restaurant really recreates that era. Lit only by candlelight this place is a must stop. Loved the menus inside books. The staff was really friendly & seemed to enjoy telling us about the history of this place. Had a really great dinner.

Stopped in for drinks and appetizers. There is an obscure entrance which took us a while to find but that just added to the cool factor of this place. When you enter its like you are going into a secret club and the place is full of nostalgia. Had the best holiday/ eggnog cocktail I have ever tasted! Truffle fries... More

I would like to give the Bookstore a 3.5 star rating. We have dined here twice, both experiences similar. Love the atmosphere of this restaurant. Very dark & hidden. You would never know it was there if you weren't looking for it. Our first time was on a weekend, with live music. It was very loud & busy but still... More
