Within 5 seconds of walking in the door last spring, the host Chris made us uncomfortable.  My friend didn't hear him ask "how are you", and Chris apparently thought he was ignoring him, so he leaned out across the lectern and confronted him with wide eyes and 3 times louder saying "HOW ARE YOU?" I've worked in the restaurant business... More

What a wonderful meal yet again... we visited Nevados just after Christmas with some friends ... thank god we booked, The bar area was rammed and the staff overwhelmed.. But we waited only a few minutes for our drinks then we were seated only a short while after that... we had a fantastic meal, as a main we went for... More

This was one of the few places that was open in mid-October and we were lucky to get a table. Right away we were greeted warmly and our waiter was just spectacular - he really made our evening (sorry I don't remember his name). The food was good, a bit too much dressing on the salad but the tuna was... More

Pleasant enough place to eat. Excellent service. But I can cook better at home. The salads were--interesting, possibly a little over-clever. And they were DRENCHED in dressing--very nasty. My wife had a passable venison with berry sauce. I had one of the most miserably over cooked cioppinos I have ever had. I would have sent it back but did not... More

This is my go to restaurant when I visit Mammoth. An ever changing creative menu, fantastic martinis and don't be swayed by the ugly decor. The food and service speak for themselves.

I've been here before and found the food to be good, if not great. This time it was awful. I had kale salad with blackened shrimp and shrimp lettuce cups. The kale was wilted, the blackened shrimp were dried out and the dressing (supposedly blueberry balsamic vinaigrette) was tasteless. The lettuce cups were virtually inedible -- the lettuce was soggy... More

Reservations are highly recommended at this long-time fine dining restaurant near Mammoth Village. Great menu and large wine list.

I'm in the negative camp. Okay we're in a mountain resort and expect prices to be higher, but quality didn't match the prices charged. Food was okay - salmon and scallops tasty but they know how to charge.

White table cloths, good service and good food. It doesn't get any better than this in Mammoth. I had the venison and my wife had the filet. Both were expertly prepared. The portions were large They came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. They have an excellent wine list with some bottles under $25. I would eat here again.

Friday evening the dining room was full (they take reservations, we didn't have any). They didn't encourage our waiting for a table, but did find one for us in the bar and dining room menu. Very loud. Needs sound barrier. 20 minute wait to have order taken. After we ordered we found out there was also a bar menu. Dinner... More
