My wife and I started with cocktails. The bartender was professional, friendly but not overly talkative. We moved into the dining room, and were shown to a cozy table. We started with the steak tar tare. I enjoyed the dry aged porterhouse. The best I've every had. My wife had the King Salmon which she absolutely loved. The server recommended... More

Was in Philadelphia for the weekend. Picked butcher and singer based on recommendations from the ritz Carlton. Great choice. It is located in an old bank building great atmosphere with tall ceilings. Steaks and sea bass were outstanding. The service was excellent as you would expect from any high end steak house. Nice wine list. Would definitely go back.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience although expensive! Great old building and excellent atmosphere. Went straight to the table where we were admirably looked after by Brian. Excellent grab cake and my Delmonico steak was cooked to perfection. Have to go with medium! The stuffed hash browns were delicious and worth the extra cost. Probably should not have strayed... Excellent experience from the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out. Our group of 4 all had various steaks and all were cooked to perfection. The appetizers were interesting and very tasty. The service was perfect...we were allowed eat without unwelcome interruption but our server was always available to address our needs. I cannot say enough good... More

We were in Philly for a long weekend and found Butcher and Singer nearby. Setting was beautiful with interesting architectural details. Enjoyed the Caesar salad with real anchovies. Great martinis and excellent shrimp cocktail. Bronzini fillet and filet mignon were well prepared.

Lovely restaurant with an old school decor. Attentive service (our waiter patiently answered our questions and offered spot on recommendations). The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and very tender. The stuffed hash browns were amazing. Generous portions on all dishes. Memorable dining experience.

Lobster and prawn salad to start with followed by a Delmonico steak cooked to perfection, the food here is not the problem but the amount of time allocated to eat your food is a different matter. Started of with a couple of cocktails and ordered our food, five minutes later the started appeared and as stated was delicious but our steaks... More

Went for Valentine's Day. Delicious steak that was juicy and tender. Seasoned perfectly and cooked to perfection. One side dish is more than enough for two to split. Staff was very courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. The meal was quite expensive but worth it for special occasions.

Really incredible service, this place is a vintage luxury steak house complete with the wood vibe and solid decor. But then you get to eat!!!!! Incredibly well prepared steaks. This is where to go to enjoy, perhaps, the finest meal of your lifetime, if not the finest steak in the very least Pennsylvania. Excellent wine list. My steak came back... More
