This is a happening bar/restaurant in downtown Philly. Mediterranean small plate menu. Food was good, tasty and hot. They bring out our dishes as they are ready so its fresh out of the kitchen- no more waiting around for cold food. So everybody picks as ti comes out. Be warned- noise level makes conversation difficult. Also recommend reservations, which they... More

Stopped by for a drink before dinner. Definite hot spot for locals and tourists Some fun cocktails on their menu. The Old Fashioned was particularly good. The open kitchen was cool, but we did not eat so I cannot say first hand how the food was, but what I did see served looked great, and the wait fir a table... More

The food is fresh and local and always good. Don't leave without trying the caramel dessert. the restaurant is small and the tables are close together but it is so worth it.

We spent Easter weekend in Philly and dined here Sunday night. The place is small crowded and loud but we knew that going in and set our expectations accordingly. Very inventive menu with interesting pastas. I've traveled in Liguria and actually own a "testaroli" pan - but I've never seen the Ligurian pasta served at Barbuzzo called "corzetti." Paired with... We were going into Philly to see a show and didn't have reservations anywhere. Not good for a Friday night. I called the restaurant and they said they didn't have any reservations available but plenty of seating at the bar, chefs bar and outside. We walked in, sat down right at the bar. Although it was busy, the bartender never... More

Went on the recommendation of three local friends-- was not disappointed! We had the arancini (amazing), a burrata dish (so fresh and creamy), a fab pasta dish (slightly salty), and the salted caramel budino (YUM). Also, the waitress gave us amazing recommendations and was very attentive. So, the seats are very close, but I was surprised that it didn't bother... More

So the chef is creative and daring. Every dish was incredibly flavorful. We started with the Smoked Trout Tartine. Not what I expected, but incredible flavor. The portions are a bit small at first glance but I left well satisfied. Whilst I did not order a desert, my two guests did and considering we shared tastes each others wonderful dishes,... More

Went with my Mother for a girls night. We are from Baltimore and this was a few short blocks from our hotel ( Marriott) . We went on a Friday night and had a reservation. Do not try if you do not have a reservation on a Friday/ Saturday night during " prime" dinning hours. Reservations were sat fast. Seating... More

For a Friday night we were surprised to get seated. We were seated at the counter looking at the cooks. It was very interesting to watch all of the different dishes being prepared. The cooks were clean and efficient and we could see that every dish was prepared to order. We ordered two shaved salads, the bone marrow, the bronzino... More
