Wonderful food- ambiance and service. Nice menu - nice wine list. If you like cheese - great selection and the staff knows and reacts in a very professional way.

Went there for brunch. Nice, quiet environment. Friendly, courteous service. The food was good, portions large. The French toast looks like half a loaf of cinnamon covered bread, filled with cheese. Enough for two! Most dishes on the brunch side could be shared. Fresh oj, good coffee! A good value for the money!

Make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance because this place is packed! They only seat when everyone in your party has arrived. You'll muscle your way to a spot at the bar but things thin out around 8. Loved everything we had and also great they have a small plate and full entree size ordering option. Lots of... More

New Year's Eve Dinner for two, chef's tasting was absolutely fabulous!! To give you a perspective on this place, a couple next to us traveled up from Washington DC just to eat dinner there. Atmosphere was great, service was outstanding, overall an excellent choice.

The food and service was excellent. We will be back regularly. Delicious appetizer specials- fried oysters, beet salad, bisque; terrific entrees- prime rib over polenta, and amazing desserts and coffee- creamsicle ice cream and French press... the vegetable sides were amazing as well. Our servers were very attentive. The meal was served at a leisurely pace, we didn't feel rushed.... More

I went here two nights ago for dinner with the BF. We opted for the 8 course tasting menu since we are both indecisive, and this option lets you try a little bit of everything. From start to finish it was amazing. (A bit pricey at $100pp, but not for one second did I feel it wasn't worth it). Some... More

My husband & I celebrated our 20th anniversary at Talula's Garden. It was a great choice. Bar area is cozy. The bartender introduced herself & her co-worker by name before servicing a well made martini. Our table was ready right on time. The arugula pistachio flatbread was very unique & scrumptious. I had the duck & my husband had the... More

My friend and I ate at the restaurant tonight and were blown away. This is a must try place. Definitely go. We had an amazing meal. We had the butternut squash soup, tuna ceviche, snail toast, seafood ciopinno and chocolate dessert. The service was amazing too! Our needs were met before we even knew we needed anything. Great experience -... More

We went pre-theater and were excited as the reviews were good, we were not disappointed. We started with a cheese sampler that was very good with a variety of firm and soft goat and cow milk cheeses wonderfully displayed with nuts, berries and dried fruits. We shared a tuna ceviche that was on point and very flavorful with the variety... More

Service was great. Cocktails were great. Food was really good - I had the cioppino and found it to be a tad too salty. My friends had the scallops and pork chop and loved it. The cheese plate was amazing!

Description
Behind the wrought iron gate, past the herbaceous patio and through the atrium is Talula's Garden, the warm and elegant Washington Square eatery from Aimee Olexy and Starr Restaurants. The modern menu, prepared with carefully-sourced ingredients and a light European touch, changes with the seasons. The artful cuisine, hospitable staff, sustainable spirits, and a focus on cheese make the dining experience here incredibly memorable.
