I've only visited Jamonera once, but I absolutely have no complaints on the service or food I received. Try to get decent seating because otherwise, expect to be on top of one another. This was a random pick, but definitely worth it.

Happy hour menu had good selections. Had the red wine, and my friends had beer. Also had the "bocadillo" - an open-faced sandwich. It was delicious! Toasted bread, and pulled pork. Also had mussels for dinner. It was disappointing at first because the bartender was so cold & unfriendly. But later on was nice.

We came in to Jamonera for we got great reviews on it we where in Philly for a convention. Walked in at around 4pm to have some food and drinks. Unexpected! No reservations. To be honest food was fantastic! Every tapa we tried was truly great! Quality food! However the host (young guy with a beard) was going nuts and... More

This is a terrific Little Restaurant and Bar with some great Spanish food. The atmosphere is friendly and the prices are reasonable. They say their dishes are the size of tapas but they are American tapa sized not Spanish tapa sized. That is they are somewhat larger than the tapas you would typically get in Spain. For a full sized... More

Tonight is the second time I have been here and both times I have been blown away by how great it is (food and atmosphere)! Doug, the bartender, recommends the best things and is just a fantastic guy all the way around. GREAT place...

Wow. This was a hit. We sampled Pea Croquettes with Crab, cheese plate, Jamin Ibérico (always a gem), Anchovies on toast (superb), Octopus which was tender, Crispy Rice with Bellota, was tasty and different, Seafood Paella was good, Skirt Steak was tender and juicy, meatballs were ok, Scallops were flavorful. Service was fine. A room extensive and 'less abusive' wine... More

I have been to Philly a lot. Our son went to school there and now lives in Center City. Whenever we can we go to Jamonera. The staff is always friendly, the food incredible, and the experience worth the 5 hour drive from home. It is all small plates so you can try a variety of items. The Papa Fritas... More

We went to Jamonera based on the reviews of places near our hotel. It's small and lively but doesn't feel crowded. The food was outstanding. We had a vegetable board, with roasted fennel, grilled mushrooms and a root vegetable gratin, each with a different savory sauce that elevated the flavors. The one exception was the grilled kale sprouts. A few... More

This is a nice little restaurant that offers a good variety of dishes without making a big deal out of everything. Jamonera is a small place with a comfortable atmosphere. My girlfriend and I went there for restaurant week and tried a wide range of what they had to offer. A good bit of the menu is vegetarian, which doesn't... More
