The reason we decided to dine at Morimoto while in Philadelphia was because this was the first restaurant opened by the celebrity chef. The interesting contemporary setting created a curiously pleasant atmosphere, but the food fell short of our expectations. There was an interesting twist...More

Visited Morimoto during a birthday weekend girls' trip. The atmosphere was modern and upscale. My dinner consisted of wagyu dumplings - that melted in my mouth, a California roll which was average and my favorite dish, the seafood toban yaki, which contained the best scallops...More

Talk about a nice surprise...my wife got us a weekend in Philadelphia for two reasons...the Army-Navy game and my birthday. For dinner, she reserved a spot at Morimoto's, because she knows I love sushi and don't get a chance to eat it all too often....More

This is the place to go if you want to taste authentic Japanese food. My son and I ordered the chef's combination for dinner, enough for the two of us. It had sushi and sashimi, the quality of which I had never eaten. The modern...More

Food was good but me my wife were not over whelmed. May be we have too high an expectation for the Iron Chef's first restaurant. Would not go back again.

My dinner here was amazing. I ended up ordering a second round of food as it was so delicious. The yellowfin tartare was incredible. Highly recommended!

Don't know either someone else paid for my meal but it was expensive based on a peek at the menu. The good is OK as well. Not great.
