It's been years since I was here and I forgot how excellent the food is. The gnocchi is the lightest and most tender I've ever had! David and Steven (owners), you boys still have it!! ❤️❤️

We had reservations at 5 p.m. We arrived at 4;40 since it was a new city for us. The door was unlocked. We entered and staff obviously were upset that we were there. they were just serving themselves a huge meal and talking and laughing. After a few minutes a woman came over and said they could not seat us... More

Appetizers and mains were delicious. Saved room for dessert - also tasty. Space is small, in a row house living room as noted - if there are four of you, tables close but you have your own table space. If two, your table will be just a few inches away from the next table of two. If you don't like... More

A return visit to Porcini's with friends did not disappoint. While Philly has numerous fine BYO Italian restaurants, Porcini is consistently authentic in its food, service and decor. Ravioli OssoBucco with red sauce was so flavorful I was tempted to ask for another plate-ful. The caesar salad was dressed perfectly, although an option for a side of anchovies would have... More

We made a reservation at Porcini via OpenTable and our hotel concierge confirmed it. We were greeted by a disinterested, unwelcoming host who told us our table would not be ready for 20-30 minutes. He said, "That's just the way it is." The implied message was "take it or leave it." We left. This was, by far, the worst service... More

We have visited Porcini multiple times, and have always enjoyed it. This small, historic house has been converted to a restaurant, and we have enjoyed everything on each visit. The staff is attentive and polite, and we have had several interactions with the owner, who really seems to love his job and wants to make sure that everyone has an... More

Maybe this was an unusually bad night, the Flyers having just won. But, for such a tiny restaurant's staff to engage in the same very loud shrieking as the majority of their patrons made for a miserable dining experience. Yes, the portions were large and tasty, but the grilled artichokes reeked of grease; the waitress did not assist us when... More

The restaurant was pretty small like everyone says but it didn't bother me. I was very uncomfortable in the area we were sat at because there was a heat vent there and it was pumping on me the whole time, I was dying. I got the artichokes for an appetizer which were amazing. Milanese for my entree and it was... More

The best part about Porcini's is the food. The homemade ravioli is amazing and the sauce is fantastic, however, if you're looking for a place with a 'wow' factor, this isn't the restaurant. There's two stories, both extremely small and crowded. I could barely hear my friends talking to me or the waitress who took our order. There's really no... More

We didn't have a very good experience. The restaurant was crowded and very loud, and we left hungry! We ordered 5 appetizers for 5 people, and we each got exactly one bite of 4 - they were that small. Dinner portions tasty but very small for the price. Service was brusque. With all the great options in Philly, we probably... More
