Bistro Romano's food is wonderful. The menu is extensice and the atomosphere is old world charm. I felt like I was dining in a wine cellar in Italy with low candles and a beautifully appointed table. It is a must if you are in Philadelphia. Prices are competitive.

I was taken here by my husband and children for my birthday , was I in for a surprise !! Unusual bar from a ship on the first floor , with spiral stairs taking you to the cellar. This is where you dine in a cellar atmosphere surrounded by the smell of freshly made Caesar salads at your tables, pasta... More

We went spur of the moment recently and were thrilled that we were able to score the Wine Room. Private and romantic and as always, the food was excellent. Our server left much to be desired. He tried TOO hard to be funny or to be a performer and probably should have given much greater attention to our orders and... More

A bunch of my cousin's and I got together (no kids) for a night out. It was such a great night out. Right from the moment we sat down, it was nice. Our waitress was very attentive, the food was amazing and the general manager was so friendly. I loved the food! The grilled octopus appetizer was to die for.... More

Before all the children head back to college, we spent the day in Philly museum hopping--more for us but they were good sports! So their reward was dinner at Bistro Romano and what a reward! Quiet mid week visit so we were able to find parking right on Headhouse Square and walk a half block to the restaurant. Not sure... More

I am certain I could make this a 2 page review, however; I will refrain but make it worth a quick read. Ask for Elena to be your server, first and foremost. Also, if you are a party of 2, choose to dine in the wine cellar, the most romantic $15 you'll spend this year. We have dined here on... More

Friends and I had dinner at Bistro Romano the night before our marathon run. Everything ordered was delicious (salads, pasta, dessert)! We truly loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, from the exposed brick walls, amazing bar, open entry with stairs leading to seating downstairs - gorgeous! We will definitely be back!

We decided to try Bistro for the first time tonight. Location was very easy to find, decor was very authentic and wine cellar seating was an interesting experience. We loved the environment in general and layout. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Appetizers were excellent, entrees would've have been great if they'd been cooked appropriately. We did let the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent experience at Bistro Romano. The staff was professional, friendly and accommodating; food was well prepared and nicely presented. We always enjoy the ambience of the restaurant rounding it out for a delightful evening.
