We chose this restaurant due to the claim of it being the oldest family owned Italian restaurant in the nation. It was nice to have the opportunity to experience this historic establishment but we won't be going back. First, they do not have a children's menu and when we asked to just get a side of pasta we were told... More

Our chicken Parm and veal Parm were burnt to a crisp. This was our favorite restaurant if all time but no more. We received a lame excuse as to why it was burnt. They lost our business for life.

We stumbled upon this restaurant after walking off New Years weekend. Great food, great service. It's been around Philly for a long time so it has a great old school feel. I'd recommend reservations as they get packed quickly and all through the day. Chicken Parmigiana and penne alla vodka were both awesome!

A place with a lot of history in Philadelphia, with a great service and really big portions. Some of the food was great, some was just ok.

We went to this restaurant in celebration of our anniversary. We were seated right away - that was nice. However, the waiter did not smile. He did not make eye contact. He quickly took the order - but no eye contact during the entire dinner. What a sad experience on such a happy occasion. The oldest Italian restaurant in the... More

Even though there weren't many vegetarian options I managed to find some really good pasta. The restaurant was very popular and crowded the Saturday night we were there, and it was a genuine and relaxed atmosphere to the place. It's not a fancy place, more a traditional Italian restaurant that seemed to cook the food with a lot of love.

The oldest Italian restaurant in the U.S. is worth the visit. Very quaint and cozy, food was delicious. Veal Parmesan and cannoli cake was fabulous. Definitely worth the drive. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Thought food was good and service was great. Wine selection was also great. Small tables but that is what makes it a nice restaurant
