A friend of mine always wanted to go here when she came to visit me in Philly. I would indulge her, but I never really enjoyed the experience. I have eaten here a few times, and it's safe to say, there are better places to dine in Philly. Everything is overpriced and the quality was more reminiscent of a chain... More

We stopped in for drinks at this well known spot that serves plenty of delicious looking food and excellently prepared drinks in a diner-like setting. Plenty of locals and tourists alike enjoy the simplistic feeling of this restaurant/bar and by the looks of it on a Wednesday night, it stays busy most of the time.

My wife and I were in town for business and a colleague recommended we try The Continental. We walked from our hotel at Penn's Landing and were dubious when we approached. Inside the decor was very retro and welcoming. The server seated us immediately and we struggled to decide on a menu choice because it all sounded delicious. In the... More

The atmosphere was contemporary but warm. Drinks were spot on in portion and taste, from the hostess to manager everyone was friendly and professional. The menu has many choices, loved the brussel spouts and desserts! Will visit again if I am back in Philly....

We were a large family group and Continental's expansive menu seemed like just the thing. It was and our orders ranged from spinach ravioli (yum!, mine) to grilled cheese (an off the menu request by our 8 year old granddaughter) to grilled salmon (a paltry-sized portion!) to fish (served lukewarm, rather than hot).......Also worth mentioning is that the chairs were... The menu is quite fun and covers just about all continents . At my table we had Asian , European and American and just about everything was good. Atmosphere and service are just as good .

Rolled in to brunch on a cold January Sunday with some friends to enjoy yet another amazing food at the Continental. After frequenting their Atlantic City location, this was my first visit to this location. The décor is super fun with swinging chairs, sunken booths and retro chic. The food is creative with the French Onion Soup Dumplings being one... More

Chilled non pretentious atmosphere w incredible handmade cocktails and delectable shared smalls and bigs (refers to size of dishes) this place is notoriously good and with over a decade between visits great to see its sill killer :) suggest lobster mac, pork taco, fish taco and for dessert the chesecake thingy. Really really awesome

The lettuce wraps and chopped salad were perfect for sharing. The chopped salad was reminiscent of a French nicoise. Great cahprinia!!

I have been to both locations, several times. This location is much smaller and more sedate than the Rittenhouse location. We were staying nearby, so came here. Love the rad na dish! Cory, our server, did a very good job (after a little snafu with the bill, but he corrected the situation).
