EVERYTHING is good here. i especially love the thai won ton soup, the spicy sardine salad, spicy grilled shrimp, tofu in spicy sauce (i think it is called gang ped?), steamed coho salmon-although i think they changed it to trout. many dishes come with steamed cabbage and carrots and rice. all perfect. try the spicy pumpkin soup. there is so... Philadelphia has so many options for small, neighborhood restaurants. In the South Street area, I'd strongly recommend My Thai. It's small, but you can call ahead and they will save a table for you. The food is simply wonderful. There is a wide variety of high end dishes. If you're lucky enough to be going with a small group, do... More

We stopped in for dinner and I found the food to be just edible...nothing great. The Padthai was barely edible and I was very hungery. The talapai was average. The restaurant seems very run down, dark and it felt dirty. The servers were below average and not super professional. I would try a different Thai restaurant.

My son and I found My Thai while browsing the neighborhood and luckily this charming smallish, charmingly appointed restaurant found a table in a minute...no fuss. We were taken by Jere Edmond's courteous welcoming and his dining room partner Leo. The menu was filled with delicious sounding selections. I chose the special of the evening: roasted half duck with red... More

I hadn't been to My Thai in years, so an old friend and I decided to meet up there for dinner and reminisce of days past .. the restaurant was still quite quaint and the food flavorful .. we each ordered the Pad Thai and shared a beef salad .. the salad was very good, with crisp greens, tender and... I don't know why we started going here every Christmas Eve night, but we did and have been for about 10 years. I just came back and had literally and best dessert I've ever had and I'm not a dessert person. It was a sweet creme crepe and it was SO delicious. I had deep fried rainbow trout as my... More

Place has nothing to do with Thai cusine...next door Chineese place offers better thai plates...overpriced with horendous food quality...had a take out...ended up throwing half of it away...$12 pad thai is dry and is more like a $6 dish...atmosphere is stingy...while service was courteous...food leaves much to be desired of...

Very good food and attentive service. I would give it an excellent rating only if the portions are above average for the price. It turns out to be expensive because of the small portions.

My Thai House is a beautifully decorated space, perfect for casual romance (tables aren't private enough for real romance) -- not a place for a boisterous group, it would overwhelm the room. The menu didn't strike me as fully authentic Thai, but I really enjoyed what I had. Gang Ped -- basically coconut curry with beef. It was tasty and... More
