I want there to watch one of the Copa American matches. I like their chicken wings with BBQ sauce, and ranch. The ice tea was amazing, I didn't drinks alcohol but my friend said that, the whiskey was great and I trusted him.

This is a small, apparently local place, that gives you the best that a pub can give: good beer, good food, reasonable prices, amazing ambience and very nice attendants. Recommended, while still enjoying my hangover from 2 days ago.

A friend and I came here for dinner and a few beers. Located in the heart of the University City section of Philly, Cavanaugh's signature is their wingd while offering a wide variety of draft and bottle beers along with a nice menu selection from wraps to wings. We walked in to an empty bar but by the time we... More

I ate here a few times while I was in Philly just because the food was so tasty! I was over visiting from Ireland and can say it's quite an authentic Irish pub. We were seated downstairs first time and second time we were seated upstairs, both rooms had plenty of space and food was served really quickly. Clearly the... More

The bartender was very interesting and fun to talk to. She also knew her stuff when mixing cocktails.

Located in University City, this bar, with its quaint old woods, woody bar, large TVs and old-time exterior, looks and feels like an unpretentious place in the 'hood. The crowd was mostly men...middle aged guys, some just getting off work in jackets and ties, some locals tied to UPenn and some contractors. In all, a friendly and relaxed bunch,. The... More

This bar has a really great location and is in close proximity to many things. It is also great for large groups because it has partitioned rooms where parties can have privacy. However as a lonely bar hopper or small group, its is terrible. the downstairs portion is deserted event at 7pm on a Friday night meaning its not a... More

I love the cobble stones, the original railroad outside and the history of Philadelphia. Cavanaugh's fit right in. Dark wood beams, carpet, small, the front bar has everything you need to complete the feeling of 1700's nostalgia of Philly. We went on a cool night and it just felt like I was in the 1700's. Loved it! All the locals... More

Walked in to grab a beer after work. The place was dead about 6 ppl at the bar. Ordered a beer and the bartender gave it to me in a plastic cup, yuck. What is this a frat house? In looking around the bar I was the only person who had a beer in a crappy cup. I asked why... More
