Three of us stopped in for dinner on a Monday evening around 5:30. There was no waiting, although most tables were full downstairs. The pub has the atmosphere of an authentic Irish Pub. I understand that the owners themselves are Irish, so they should know...More

My wife & I ate dinner there while visiting Gettysburg. Lots of atmosphere with good food & drinks. Check out all the different police badges. Very cool.

My husband and I went for dinner and it was wonderful! The staff was nice and the menu was great. Probably a good idea to plan ahead and get a reservation.

We had to wait 30 minutes to get in, but we walked through the town while waiting and they simply texted us when our table was ready. The shepherd's pie was amazing and really hit the spot. My husband loved his steak salad, too. A...More

My family met friends for dinner last week while we were all in town together and were disappointed. I never give a disappointed review either. There were 6 of us, we waited 20 minutes for a table, no problem. We put in our order once...More

Great Irish pub with Irish food. Not a place for the kids. Be prepared to wait on weekends if no reservations. Good whiskey selections

Went to Garry Owen for the second time and both times we have been seated in the kind of dreary little "middle room" but that's no one's fault ~ just the luck of the draw. In the future, I look forward to sitting in the...More

You should contact the restaurant directly and not thru TripAdvisor. I doubt the owners check TripAdvisor every day.

I did not see one. But I did see some items that may work. Depends on your kids.

Description
Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.
