We had lunch here on Friday and enjoyed the atmosphere and service. I had the coconut sprimp and my wife had the fish and chips. We rated the meal as mediocre because the fish and shrimp were both overcooked. The shrimp especially was tough and the coconut was burned. Fruity rice pilaf was great.

I went to the Silver Salmon Grille for dinner on Wednesday evening. I started with an appetizer of Chicken Livers which are dusted in seasoned flour, deep-fried and served with ranch dressing. For the main course I opted for the Silver Salmon Seafood Trio which is Petite Silver Salmon Supreme, pan-fried oysters and coconut beer prawns served with a trio... More

Amazing. I repeat amazing experience like non we had before. Best clam chowder ever, so meaty and unreal. Salmon with crab meat and sides of fried prawns, unreal how good this was. Calamari fritty, wow! I will eat here every time I'm an hour distance from them, it's a must. Service and decor are as good as I've experienced, a... More

I went on a Tuesday night for a business evening outing with 5 colleagues. Service was slow to start, but attentive after we ordered our first round of drinks -- mostly local craft brews -- running about $5.50/pint. Not many beers on tap, but what they had were good. The meals were delivered promptly, but had relatively skimpy portions considering... More

My wife and I liked the food but we were crammed into a table for two in the bar (happy hour) and constantly bumped into. We got blasts of cold air from the outside doors and were not comfortable. It was a bad weather weekend in Astoria. We probably should have eaten in the dining room and would have had... More

The old historic bar is amazing and beautiful. The smell of the salmon smoking outside was incredible. We did have time to eat but we were able to have a few drinks. The bartender was a little strange. Kind of sassy but oh well. Maybe next time we will stop and sit in the dining room.

My husband and I had dinner here just before Christmas. We'd been traveling on the road all day and this place was just the right spot for us. Cozy, reasonably quiet, easy-going waiter and the seafood was just perfect. Both my salmon dish and the oysters on the half-shell that I ordered were so fresh and delicious, and my husband's... Stopped in based on the ravings of a friend who said they have the best oyster stew. Recently moved to the coast and couldn't wait to try a bowl. We ordered that, clam chowder and garlic cheese bread. The clam chowder and cheese bread were excellent. The oyster stew was a disappointment. The stew was very sweet and overpowered any... More

Our service was good, food was average, cocktails were tasty. The menu offers a variety of food. Where we sat, we were frozen every time their front door opened.

The food is well prepared from a varied menu, service is excellent and the atmosphere is relaxed with a variety of decor. Prices are in the $25 to $35 range per dinner.
