Came to this area to stop at one of the local stores, was there a bit early (9:30am) and this was one of the only places open for breakfast. We walked in, the lady at the counter greater us and gave us the option to sit at any table we liked. She took our drink orders and gave us a... More

This is one of those old Baltimore places that serves breakfast and lunch. They are open everyday except Tuesday. The food is fair and basic, but very reasonable. You have your basic breakfast, coffee and lunch items. Nothing fancy, but basic "diner" fare. Good place to see locals.

I read the other reviews here and so I went back specifically to see if I had overlooked something. Food was fast, hot and good. Place was clean. Waitress was sweet and efficient. I have no idea what the others who went on about slow service and dirty place were talking about.

All Baltimoreans know where the Avenue is but for 'foreigners' the Avenue is 36th St. from Falls Road to Keswick. I was looking for some breakfast food on a Sunday morning and went into The Lunch Box. It was busy but turnover was fast and I got a table right away. There were 3 or 4 cooks on the grill... More

If you are looking for a good cheap breakfast in Hampden where you won't have wait for an hour to get a seat then this is the place for you. It is typical diner food, but done well. I had an omelet that was very good. Their home fries are also really good. Will definitely be back.

Its similiar to Waffle House, good food and very cheap. Food comes within 10-15 minutes and its cash only.

Went here for breakfast with my boyfriend. A friend of ours who is a chef was saying that this is one of the best breakfasts she'd had in Baltimore. We went in and were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Menus are on the table and the woman running the floor came up and asked us our drink order almost immediately.... More

We have not been to this location for some time...and whe we had been it was, I think called Mike's. It is fairly close to the former menu but even simpler. Deli sandwiches, breakfast, hot platters and such. We chose the hamburger platter with mashed potatoes and gravy. The burger was a nice size, cooked the right and on a... More

Cant beat this place (except the fact that its cash only... thats always very annoying) but the eggs are always perfect, omelettes are great and lunch is good too. Super cheap and perfect for a weekend morning.
