Dined there last week for a business dinner. Reservation was great and the food was excellent although the wine is very pricey for an Italian restaurant in the downtown Baltimore area. Both our veal dishes were plentiful and has an excellent flavor. The desserts were...More

The wine list is adequate. That was the best part of a sad meal. I ordered their special Risotto made with Acquerello Caranaroli Rice with Sous-vide cold lobster tail. To start let's talk about the half of a lobster tail that I received. Though prepared...More

The restaurant is dated as far as the decor. The service and the attentiveness was excellent. We ordered the eggplant tower and the asparagus soup, both really good. My husband who is also an executive chef commented that the chicken in the chicken Marsala had...More

Went here for dinner during restaurant week with work colleagues. Really enjoyed the eggplant tower. Everyone enjoyed a different entree and all were very pleased with the food. Service was excellent. I would recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy a high-end Italian dining experience.

The restaurant wasn't decorated at all for Christmas. The waiter was , at best, perfunctory, and took our order quickly and left. The man who poured the water complained about rich people always having more and wanting more money. We did not receive the special...More

“One of the best Italian restaurants in America” / "The wine list at Aldo's is exemplary, easily one of the best on the east coast” / “This is clearly a labor of familial love, and it shows in every dish" -- John Mariani (of Esquire Magazine), 2012 Aldo’s is Baltimore’s most celebrated Italian restaurant. Aldo's features Chef/Owner Aldo Vitale's delicately balanced southern-influenced regional Italian cuisine, served in sumptuously appointed rooms steeped in classical Italian tradition. The media rave about Aldo's, calling it "An Italian Masterpiece" (NY Times) and have recognized Aldo's for offering Maryland's "Best Private Dining" (The Baltimore Sun) and "Baltimore's Best Private Dining Rooms" (Baltimore Magazine). Private dining rooms include a belowground, climate-controlled Wine Cellar and a Medici-inspired Library.
