My husband use to take me here when we first started dating, to impress me, and that was back in the late 1970's. We were going to the Hippodrome with friends recently and decided on a return visit. We could not have been more pleased. There were six of us. All of us could not believe how good the food... More

We went on a Sunday night to celebrate my husband's birthday. The sangria was great and the seafood appetizer was delicious as well. However, my grouper was breaded and tasted fishy (kind of expensive and tasted fishy). My husband had the rock fish with the crab. He enjoyed that. My daughter had the seafood bisque and loved that but she... More

I have eaten at this restaurant several times, and the food has always been excellent. I had Gazpacho for an appetizer, and Pollo a la Riojana for the entree. In addition, I had the red sangria, which was delicious. Although I was too full for desert, there were several flaming deserts that looked great. In addition, a neaby table had... More

Arrived for our 7:30pm reservation and found ourselves in a mob scene, tons of people waiting. While the host asked for our patience and said that we'd be seated in a few minutes, we waited 30. Why bother have a reservation? The food was ok... not great, but not poor. Filet of Sole with banana, and the Beef Tournadoes. The... More

This is the place to go for a dress up, special occasion! Spanish feel to the decor, excellent Spanish wine selections, outstanding main course selection (beef, chicken or seafood, and paella)-large portions. even the vegetables tastefully prepared. tone is set immediately at entry by the matre d' in a tuxedo, and waiters decked in red waistcoats.

The basement of an old row home. Has been there for many years and is very good. Sangria is a must but go easy on it if you are driving. Parking high rise right across the street. Reservations a must. If you have 6 or 8 ask for one of the outcomes. $$$$

We had a very busy February and so I decided to introduce my staff to Tio Pepe. We were seated immediately and the wait staff was very attentive. I ordered the cold artichokes for the appetizer. Staff members ordered melon with jambon, garlic shrimp and crab. I don't eat ham so I did not taste the melon but I did... More

I have been going to Tio Pepes for 40+ years and they never change. Everything there is exceptional. We have to get the crab meat appetizer, the black bean soup, an entrée, and the pine nut dessert. Then we have food for 2 more meals at home. And of course the home made red sangria to drink is to die... More

When it comes to great tasting food and great service Tio's has no equal. Large portions, wonderful sauces. Save room for dessert.

My husband and I had dinner at this Baltimore landmark after not having been there for ten years, so we were really looking forward to trying it again. Boy, were we disappointed! We ordered a bottle of Veuve Cliquot, appetizers, entrees, dessert and liquored coffee drinks. The Veuve and the coffee drinks were the only items that were good. I... More
