Went here based on a recommendation from a coworker. I was told it was excellent, but was skeptical. It was a quaint little restaurant in Mt. Washington. We tried two of the specials: soft shell crab and the short ribs. Both were absolutely amazing. Food...More

I can't say enough good about the meal I had there. Guess I got lucky, because they were doing a crawfish boil while I was there! The crawfish were cooked just right so I could pinch the meat out of the tails, and the maque...More

Came by for lunch and the cook said to try the Shrimp Gumbo.. Service was fast.. fun place.. but I'd have to rate the Gumbo about a 3.. no real flavor and no spice at all.. Still not a bad way to spend lunch..

Joe and I had dinner at Ethel's Creole Kitchen tonight. Food was good. Unfortunately the chef/owner ruined the experience. Very unprofessional. Foul mouth. Being in the food industry all my life I know kitchens can be stressful but if you choose in life to own...More

Went to dinner on Easter to the small cozy restaurant. The service was great our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable of the food. The drink special was the cantaloupe snowball that did not disappoint. Nor did the food our dishes ranged from jambalaya to...More

Great meal and great service. We had chicken gumbo and jambalaya and both were excellent. We also had amazing crab cakes as an appetizer - best ever.

The New Orleans-inspired dishes are never a disappointment. This was not our first visit, and this time we tried the shrimp po' boy (on previous visits, we had had jambalaya and gumbo). Service is attentive and helpful. Be aware they're closed on Mondays.

Had not had Jambalaya in years. Highly recommend the shrimp they were large and fresh and also cooked with fresh vegetables. While I am not a huge sausage fan it is a staple for this dish and it was excellent. Very large portion can feed...More

Description
We serve an innovative mix of Cajun / Creole cuisine and local Maryland fare that utilizes both Chesapeake Bay and New Orleans flavors. From sweet corn to blue crabs, rockfish, shrimp, crawdads and more, the delights of these two regions abound and the heritage of preparing the local fare runs deep in the culture of both regions. Just as summer in Baltimore would not be complete without a crab cake or picnic of steamed crabs smothered in Old Bay, neither would any trip to New Orleans be complete without a sampling of Gumbo, Jambalaya, or a Po'Boy. We have dubbed our food Maryland Creole Cuisine. Items such as Crab and Shrimp Gumbo, Blackened Rockfish, and Pan Fried Oysters with Remoulade are just a few samplings of how wonderfully the flavors of Maryland and Louisiana blend.
